Well in that case please look at the fuse for your starter , if there is no loose connection , consider checking ur starter brushes, it might be the time you change them with its selenoid, if its not the starter problem , but the engine doesnt start 1st time you start it, well i got bad news, there is something called the pick-up sensor on ur crank shaft that u need to further investigate and change it

2004 volvo cross country, About 5 times a year, usually over a 5 week period, the engine will not turn over.

It could be the safety switch in the transmission or some where in with the shifting linkage or under the counsel. May need to replace it.

2001 isuzu rodeo doesnt always start. new

Dirty terminals, happens all the time. Did you have the battery tested? Or just know it's OK? Did you check the water? How about the electrolytes? Get the terminals cleaned off with a wire brush, and scrape the insides, make sure they are tight. I have replaced more batteries this week, must be the weather. One was stone dead, 5 volts and still started the car?? Couldn't believe it, good car. The other 2 were dead with 12+ volts but wouldn't start anything, both got new terminals, and both got cleaned up. NO problems. Check it out. Lastly, the solenoid in the starter could be bad if everything else checks out, whack it with a hammer while turning the key, if it jumps, you found it.

Mazda Tribute Intermittent Starting problem

I can think of 2 possibles,it could be a bad battery cable or an intermitent short in the starter solenoid, check or have the battery cables and there connections on both ends first not only are they a cheaper fix but the problem you describe sounds like a current flow issue.Test them with or have them tested with an ohmmeter they should show o ohms resistance, and while not attributed to the problem I do not reccomend using Bosch spark plugs of any variety, the best plugs for any Japanese vehicle are NGK's,this comes from my personal experience with them and other techs that I have worked with.
