Question about 1998 Cadillac Catera
Periodically, after car heats up about a pint of anti-freeze leaks out somewher4e near the bottom of the reservoir. The weird thing is this only happens about once a month. No lights come on and as long as I refill the reservoir the car runs fine. Why would this only happen once in a while, I'm stumped. Also my car uses dexcool antifreeze I don't know if that makes a difference. The heater doesn't work either. Would that have anything to do with it?
First things first don't use Dexcool.
It would happen only once in a while likely because the overflow bottle doesn't always fill to the point of where the leak is located. It would be very easy to unbolt the bottle and fill it with water to find the leak and patch it up.
