Unfortunately it does happen in the chrysler vans, it may help keep going a little longer depending on how bad it is slipping if you put some +4 additive in your transmission. (the plus 4 is a friction modifier) and it helps most of the slight slips recover themselves due to regular transmission fluid being in them. It does work I asked my transmission friend about one that did that and he recommended it and its been a couple years. It may or may not help yours depending on how bad it slips and may need another transmission, but this is at least a alternative that may work. It is available at most parts stores.
