Wont stay?? cranking or running? Assuming it cranks but wont stay running I would be suspect of a Crankshaft Position Sensor

Have you checked base fuel pressure with a gauge ?

My husband is trying to fix my 04 dodge ram 1500 4.7l, the computer says to replace the crank sensor and or cam sensor. the crank sensor was replaced a month ago. it wont stay running. but he doesnt know...

On the 4.7L, the cam position sensor is located on the right cylinder head (thats the passenger side) toward the front below the valve cover gasket. Not on the front of the head but on the side where the exhaust manifold is attched at the forward end of the head. The crankshaft position sensor is located on the same side (right) but is at the opposite end of the engine between the bell housing and the block. The crankshaft position sensor can be replaced without removing the engine or transmission, it just looks tight. Also, on the crankshaft position sensor, it slides out of a rubber gromet. My dodge 1500 got a bit wet a year ago ive had it on a computter, it alays tells the machanic to change the comp. ive changed it 3 times. along with every sensor. it ran for about five minutes,or till it...

check the crankshaft position sensor down on the transmission on the passenger side up top in the bell housing.
If the crankshaft position sensor is bad it will not start no spark.
