There are way too many to list. The main reason it comes on is there is an emission failure of some kind. I assume when you say engine management you mean check engine light. Or the light with the picture of the engine and exclamation mark or a red triangle in the case of a hybrid.
lost the operators manual, did you? it is there. and lots of good facts.
here they ALL are, for ALL cars.
the engine block means, just that the ENGINE SYSTEMS
that means to SCAN it. http://dashboardsymbols.com/the-symbols/
So did you check your engine? I don't mean to be a ****, but these warning lamps have been around for about 30 years now. They mean pretty much what they say. Some of them even have little pictures for those that can't read. Whenever they come on while you are driving, it means that there is a malfunction in your engine management system that needs to get fixed.
Continuing to drive the vehicle with these warning lamps on can potentially damage some REALLY EXPENSIVE parts of your car. I highly recommend that you get your engine checked.
Sorry, other expert winner the chat about your problem. This light shows operational status of traction
control system. If it is constantly lit when engine is running, this
means that traction control system is off. If the light flashes during
driving, it means the loss of traction at the wheels, and traction
control system is operating- decreasing engine torque to stop exessive
Hope this help.
Its probably the check engine light - a sign that something is going wrong with the car. Take it to a local auto parts store and get them to scan the engine code - its free. Once you get the code they can look up what the issue is. If you're not noticing it driving badly just yet, its probably a sensor that is going bad
If you have an owners manual the information will be in there on all the dash light s and what they mean if its gold color looking engine symbol and says check below it its your check engine light that is on and this means your computer has found a problem in your truck this can mean anything vacune leaks -faulty o2 sensor-faulty mass air meter ext.....you need to have the codes pulled from your computer to get a better idea of whats going on any autozone will pull the codes for free so i would start there i work for a toyota dealer as a mechanic hope this helps
That is the is the check engine light, it means a failure in the emission system has occurred, take it to a Kragen or other parts store like it and they will run a test ( it is free) that will pull a code from the computer, that code will indicate the area or circuit that has a problem.
