Charge through the low pressure port with engine running and a/c on. Use a fill hose that has a gauge on it so you know not to overcharge. Keep in good range. when properly filled, the a/c compressor will cycle ona nd off 4 to 7 times/minute at 70 degrees F.

Service Gauge Port Valves The high-side fitting is the largest and special couplings are required to connect service equipment to both the high-side and low-side service ports. Refer to Special Service Equipment as outlined.

  • Quick disconnects must be used to connect a manifold gauge set to the system.
  • Rotunda R-134a Low-Side Quick Disconnect 176-R0036 or equivalent is the low-side quick disconnect and Rotunda R-134a High-Side Quick Disconnect 176-R0037 or equivalent is the high-side quick disconnect.
  • Always install the A/C charging valve caps (19D702) on the service access gauge port valves after servicing the refrigerant system.
The service gauge port valves are either a one-piece or two-piece design:
  • In the two-piece design, the aluminum top portion of the valve is threaded to the bottom part and sealed with an O-ring seal. The valve seal is an integral part of the aluminum fitting piece which must be replaced if the seal leaks.
  • In the one-piece design, the valve is an integral part of the refrigeration line or component. The Schrader-type valve core can be replaced if the seal leaks.

here is a typical system. #1 is the low side charge port.

Where is the oxygen sensor located on a lincoln town car 96

My 96 has 4 cat converters, 2 (upstream and down stream) on each side. There are 2 oxygen sensors on each side, before upstream converter and after upstream converter. But make sure they are bad before you replace them (4 of them will cost you about $200), and my 1996 with 175K has 3 original still running. Other sensors (air flow, coolant temp) might be the problem as well.

Where is the low pressure for AC located on 2000 Lincoln Navigator

The low pressure port is the only one that your AC charging tool will fit on if you are planning to charge the AC unit with refrigerant. The high side port is much larger and the quick connect tool won't fit it. Look up high toward the firewall on Fords and Lincolns.

Where is low side ac port a 2001 town car

There are two aluminum tubes coming out of the compressor. The high pressure tube goes to the condensor in front of the radiator. The low pressure tube is the other tube, and the port has a black plastic cap over it, on the low pressure tube.

2004 Lincoln LS A/C Valve

In order to charge, you must locate the low pressure valve to install the refrigerant. The low pressure valve is between the compressor and the evaporator. Do not charge on the High Pressure side, The high pressure valve is between the compressor and the condenser. To locate the low pressure valve, follow the line that comes from the compressor and routes toward the firewall. The valve will be somewhere on that line. Do not overcharge. The amount of pressure that is needed on the low pressure side will depend on the ambient outside temperature.

Sounds like the heater and a/c blend door actuator. It is located under front center of dash below windshield. Dash must be removed to replace it. I've done it several times.
