Hi, the leak is probably in your evap system. Check the cannister and hoses under the car. Repair as necessary. Also check the purge valve under the hood. Take the hoses off and see if you can blow thru the valve. If you can, it's stuck open. See if it's jammed, or clean it out with carb cleaner to see if it will close. If it will not close, replace it. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

The check engine light won't go out unless you (1) clear the code with a tester or (2) give the computer a chance to determine the problem is no longer there. It has to go thru several test cycles detecting no problem before the computer will turn the light off. You could also have another problem causing an evaporative emission leak (like a vent hose for instance).

Tips for a great answer:
Sep 19, 2016 | Cars & Trucks
Aug 17, 2008 | Hyundai Elantra Cars & Trucks
Mar 17, 2014 | Kia Rio Cars & Trucks
May 14, 2011 | 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (no purge flow
or large leak)
What does that mean? This indicates a fuel vapor leak or lack of purge flow in the EVAP control system. It means a large leak has been detected. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine.
Symptoms You likely won't notice any drivability problems.
Causes A code p0455 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
May 14, 2011 | Chevrolet 2500 Cars & Trucks
Mar 01, 2010 | 2006 GMC Sierra
Nov 14, 2009 | 2003 Chrysler Town & Country
Nov 12, 2009 | 2006 Saturn Relay
Sep 17, 2008 | 2002 Suzuki XL-7
