Honda accord 1996 code p1361 fix it

which 1996 engines, name the exact engine, can fix engines not knowing that.
P1361
this is the TDC sensor error.
loose wires to it
or loose timing belt?
its really the cam sensor, it tells the ECU/PCM where #1 fires and in turn, them all. (know one, know them all due to crank sensor data)

loose wires.
bad sensor
loose belt (or anything that makes the CAM bounce , dig?)

if your engine has the belt on the cam, ever change it , per
the maintenance shedules. 60,000 miles is common
you ignoring service???????
keep in mind i dont know what engine is in car.
but all honda bend the valves when the belt lets go.
so just maybe 1361 is a blessing, its telling you, hey buddy
going run me till i Grenade?

serpentine belt comes first and then timing belt which is inside the motor.I think you have got the name of your belts the other way around.

Replacing the alternator in my 1995 NIssan and want to know the name of the two belts that I need. I have A/C as well.

if you go to purchase the belts ,they can tell you ,if you give them the year
make and model and and the engine size just tell them you need all belts..if you have the belts in hand you can compare but useually not important

My steering got very hard and found a belt was broken, pl. let me know what name of that belt

Juat go to the autopart store and tell them you need the power steering pump belt. Give them the year and model of your car and they will give you the right one.

Timing belt broke on haundi sonata 2001. mechanic tells me that its likely that since that happened i will need a new motor. is that true

you may just try overhauling the motor, if the belt breaks it may damage the racker arm and the valves. just try buying the necessary parts thats not been damaged and your engine will be just fine.

Do alternator belts go by any other name ? Husband just had new alternator installed and was told the belt is worn. What do i ask for? and does the same belt go by different names?

Hi Charterdhear,
The proper name is the serpentine accessory drive belt.(Or serpentine belt for short). One belt drives all the components on the engine. The car you are asking about has different engine sizes available. You will need to know the size when ordering the part. They will also ask if you have air conditioning. Let me know if you need any other information. Thanks,Chuck

Thinking about buying a 2002 Galant but it needs a timing belt its a 4cyl.just need to know if it is a zero tolerance motor. to see if it may have bent valves.thank you!

remode all plugs and turn the motor over by hand
that will tell you if it a zero tol motor
remember to insert 1 plug at a time to see is the piston has compression and make sure if you fine a bad cyl to spin the cam a couple of degres to make sure it is just open valves and not bent or broken valves

if for some reason with plugs all out and motor will not turn then it is a zero tol motor and will likely need a head job with the timing belt

Timing belt Broke are valves worped?

Hello momma_green: My name is Roger and I will help you. The 2005 Chevy Aveo 1.6 engine is a interference motor. That means if the timing belt breaks. The valves will be bent. I have one in my shop now that the belt broke on it. Bent all 16 valves and damaged all 4 pistons. This is not a forgiving motor. I wish I could tell you good news but I cant. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

The belt for my alternator of Hyundai Elantra 1999 broke down, and I need to know which one is it so I can buy it

get to the closest bennitt auto supply or whatever you have near you and ask them. of call the dealer im sure they could tell you if you have your VIN# handy. call them up first and see if they have it. if you have more than one belt now is the time to change them all. you wouldnt want your water pump belt (which is probably the same one that is broken) to pop off and then your car overheats...

Cam Belt change

Hello mike_potts07: My name is Roger and I will answer your question. The suggested miles to change your timing belt is 60,000 miles. This is manufacturers recommended service interval. Also this motor is an interference motor. What that means is if the timing belt breaks. The valves in the head will be hit by the pistons. This will bend all valves that are open at that time.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way we can tell the information was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
