SOURCE: tail,brake,turn,dash,hazard lights keep blowing

With the exception of the dash light, everything else runs thru the turnsignal switch. I would start there.

SOURCE: 2002 Isuzu axiom cluster lights and tail lights out

With the help of kori105's tester and after 3 hours of chasing and removing every thing from the dash I found the problem to be the factory anti theft I moved the wires around an the buzzer came on and the test light went out. The anti theft is located in the dash next to the glove box its black with one wire harness with a bunch of wires going to it. Thanks for the tester idea it worked great

2005 kia sorento change ext fuse and it keep blowing

I have a 2004 Sorento EX and my EXT fuse along with the stop lamp fuse kept blowing. The ext would blow as soon as I turned the vehicle on. The stop lamp would blow after a couple pushes of the brake pedal causeing me to have no rear lights at all regarding brake and the lights that you turn on at night. After much reading online in forums such as this, I was led on a chase looking for grounding wires, broken wires, dirty battery terminals, faulty altinator, and for a drl module. I could not find a drl module as I now do not believe there is one in sorentos, or at least in mine. I then came to the brake switch that is located on the arm of the brake pedal. I disconnected it, put a couple of new fuses in, started my vehicle and checked my fuses, and at last they did not blow! I reconnected the brake switch and checked the fuses and they had blown. I have a hunch that I am dealing with a faulty brake switch. Hope this helps

Tail lights wont come on when the headlights are on yet they work when you press down on the brake.

When yu press the brake pedal you activate the brake lights not tail lights. The tail lights are a separate circuit. Check bulbs and fuse, the theswitch.

Signal lights tail lights work but when i step on the brake pedal the fuse blows

you may have a shorted brake light switch or a wire at the switch that is shorted to ground.the switch is located at the base of the brake pedal lever and has 2 wires connected to it.check to see if the (I think)the orange wire is firmly connected to the plug connector, this wire should be the power wire to the switch and is not the problem as the fuse only blows when the pedal is pushed.the other wire(I think) is a white wire, this wire goes from the switch to the wiring to the brake lights.this wire could be shorting out causing the fuse to blow, and needs to be checked.

Brake lights on my 2003 Saturn L200 won't come one but the center brake light does light. Tail lights are working as well. Would this be the brake switch under the brake pedal?

I just solved a similar problem on my 2003 Saturn. The tail light assembly had gotten wet on a stormy night with the trunk open. There was no problem until the weather turned cold. After looking at the fuses, relays, brake switch etc. I got my trusty voltmeter out. Testing the voltage on the light blue wires in my tail light connector I found the required +12Volts for the brake lights when the brake pedal was pressed. Checking the lamp sockets I found the 12 volts was still present when the brake pedal was pressed.

The water that leaked into the bulb connectors (right and left) and spread the contacts when the water inside them froze! Blowing out the water and pushing the contacts back together solved my problem! Lesson...Keep the trunk closed when it's raining hard and dry out the bulb connectors if they get wet.

Brake light dont work. 2006 chevy truck, 4.8L 2wd

Some of these had two fuses for brake lights. One for the top/center stop lamp and another for the rear left and right brake lights. Usually one said "stop" and the other said "brake" and one was in the underhood panel while the other was in the dash fuse panel. It's not uncommon to blow a brake light fuse [LR and RR] if you tow a trailer but some of these had seperate fuses for the trailer lights also. If you have a test light check both sides of the two fuses for power [ignition key on] while stepping on the brakes. It should at lest narrow your search a bit.

1996 isuzu rodeo problem

TO TROUBLE SHOOT ELECTRICAL YOU MIGHT NEED TO TRY A GOOD BULB OF CORRECT TYPE INTO SOCKET IN BRAKE FIXTURE THEN ALSO MAKE CERTAIN THE REGULAR TAIL LIGHT ELEMENT IS GOOD REPLACE FUSE WITHOUT PRESSING BRAKE LIGHTS ON IF FUSE IS OK THEN TURN ON THE RUNNING LIGHTS SEE IF THE ONE IN QUESTION IS COMING ON IF IT IS AND THE FUSE IS OK THEN PRESS BRAKE PEDAL AND SEE IF THE BULB LIGHTS WITH THE BRAKE ON ALSO THE FOUR WAY FLAHER IF FUSE IF STILL GOOD IT MIGHT ALLOW DASH LIGHTS TO COME ON MANY VEHICLES HAVE A SAFETY WAY OF LETTING YOU KNOW YOU HAVE NO TAIL LIGHTS BY ALSO TURNING OFF THE DASH LIGHTS.

2005 camry tail light blows

Does it work when you press the brake pedal? If so, sounds like you have a faulty bulbs. IF it doesn't work when brake pedal is applied I would check the fuse under the hood or left kick panel on the driver side.

My tail lights dont work, its not a fuse, my blinkers and reverse lights work, its just my running lights and my brake lights that dont, any suggestions?

check the wire harness that runs from inside the trunk on the drivers side follow it down to the tail light and make shure the wires are not damaged or unplugged remove cover on the drivers side inspect the bulbs the holders and the wires and dont forgt to retighten all grounds that you find on your travels this should get the rear tail lights working also check the brake pedal switch up on the metal part of the brake pedal arm follow it up tp the brake pedal switch and acuate the switch by hand and check the wire voltage coming in and going out when pressing the brake pedal ok give this a shot

Brake Light Fuse & Gas Gauge

Start by replacing your brake light bulbs. If it still blows the fuse, them your brake pedal switch. If it still happens then you have a shot circuit in your wiring between your fuse panel and your brake lights.
