Question about 1997 Dodge Caravan
My fan will not come on when my top relay is plugged in but will come on when it is unplugged but when it's unplugged its makes codes come up need it to pass and won't with codes running I have changed everything in it and it's still not working
From your problem description the radiator cooling fan does not come on. dodge and chrysler minivans had a problem with the cooling fan relay being faulty. I recommend replacing it with a good quality aftermarket part, not one made in china if possible!

The relay is B05. And B05 is located under the dash on the left side, just to the right of the parking brake switch.
Please rate this as Fixya if found Helpful.

First thing I would check is the fuse or the fan relay, located in the power distribution box under the hood. If that's not the problem, then I would find the coolant temperature sensor, unplug it with the key on and the fans should run.
