Question about 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe
Same situation, the radio volume goes up and down all on its own. Usually have to leave it off completely to keep from going deaf. Also, when trying to put the truck in gear from park, it's as if I am not pushing the brake to release it. I can pump the brakes, turn the steering wheel, try again and it shifts fine, its just gets "stuck" in park. This could be electrical as well or maybe the brake sensor? help!
The radio may have an auto volume function that may have accidetly been tripped. As far as the transmission issue, it might be an electrical problem or it could be something mechanical near the shifter in the steering column. If you have to turn the wheel to get it to work then that is where I would start first. make sure that there is nothing that would impede the shifter from working properly.
