Mine is an 88 cant imagine its different, thereis a plastic tank on the rhs of the trans that has a screw off lid, you will need the car on stands or a hoist level and with the oil at opperating temp you will also need a bottle pump or some type of plunger to fill it the engine must be running and add the fluid slowly allow time for it to be taken into the trans repeat until at the mark and stays there

You dont need to take off the intake manifold but the cold air intakes these unclip grab the convaluted tubing and pull it straight back out of the aircleaner then lift it up and un clip the bottom then pullit out of the intake snorkle

Remove rear carpet. Remove spare tire in recessed tire compartment. There will be a small hatch with a plastic white lever that you have to swing open. Once the door is open, remove ground (black) first, then the positive red side. Clean terminals and also clean ground to rear hatch from battery.

Where is the fuel pump on a 1987 porsche 928 S4?


Hello there

The fuel pump is located in the rear of the car right next to the fuel tank.

From behind the car you need to remove protective (L shape) metal cover (right rear)and then you will see the fuel pump.

How do I fit a 928 twin distributor drive belt, linking distributors together?


remove the distributor csps rotors and protective covers remove the 8mm screw in the upper housing ,between the two distributors, the upper housing should come off the manual says to use a two leg puller and pull the pulley belt and upper flange washers off the keyway together there are timing marks on lower housing section that line up with the woodruff keys on the distributor shafts when they go back together I have an 86 but have not yet changed the belt,If I can be of anymore assistance email bruce.mahony@three.com.au

Hi,
You should find an inspection cover under the carpet in the boot with wires going through or near it it should be held with 3 srews/bolts,if you carefully remove this you will find the fuel pump and tank sender unit by carefully removing this up you will find the fuel pump (in tank pump)
