After warm up engine runs ruff and loss of power

Injectors need cleaning if it is a diesel
There is a buold up of contaminants in your fuel system that needs to be cleaned out

If it is a petrol engine I would be very surprised

Just add a couple of treatments of injector cleaner to a full tank of fuel and go out for a high rev blast for an horor twom that should hopefully clean it.

My old renault laguna failed emissions so I PUT 2 bottles of forte injection cleaner and went out for a 70 mile blast, it was a diesel car. I returned to the testing station within 2 hours and the black smoke had ccleard and I got the pass certificate.

How can I sort glow plug light problem on Renault Kangoo 1.5Dci? Initially it extinguishes as it should after a few seconds. It comes on when accelerating, and if accelerating hard, seems to reduce po

Pete, if you get no code from a reader, it only means it is a physical problem and not in the system. You could possibly just have a dirty connection at one or all glow plugs power wires. This wouldn't change the mpg at all. The EGR, if faulty diaphragm, would cause a loss of power, but that's mainly on a gasoline engine. Not sure on diesel unless the EGR is in the center of the air inlet of manifold. I removed my intake on my old Chevy 6.2 diesel and replaced it with an open one from a higher performance 6.2 and it gave it much more power because now there's no air restriction because no EGR is in the intake. This stopped the excessive smoke from exhaust also. That's just MY experience, and I just LOVE diesel.

Diesel loss of power

check and change the fuel filters including the water filter.. If you are using a bio diesel then don't. Check and bleed any air out of the pump and lines. check that the air valve on top of the tank is clean and allowing the tank to vent and not get a vacuum. Check for a moss like substance in the tank as it will seriously affect the diesel and injectors. Basically It sounds as if the pump is starving for fuel from a blockage or air in the system.

Suzuki Vitara 2.0 Turbo Diesel, Year 2000, 89000 miles and fully serviced. Problem: can't get it started. It seems that the power to the diesel pump is isolated somewhere else. No electrics going to...

dealers advice will only line their pockets ,but without my automotive meter to work backwards iam at a loss to help you ,check for a feed to the pump as their is a immobilisor device which will only work if its feed the right frequency to allow it to open the shut off valve and my favourite trick here is to cut it out and by-pass it ,not sure about diesel pre heater relay though but without my meter on it i honestly cannot say what the problem could be

Jaguar x type diesel loss of power, what can cause this?

A clogged EGR valve can cause loss of power on the x-type diesel. The best thing to do is to remove the valve and clean out all the carbon that will have built up inside the valve and re-fit. Also check your air filter
