My 2002 gmc sierra a/c blows cool not cold. Compressor cycles but seems to do so too fast. Evaporater cold but on other side of orfice tube is ambient temp. I have replced orfice tube. Freon is full.

Sounds like expansion valve(orifice tube) was installed backwards, it is directional. When Freon is full, suction line(Low Side) should sweat all the way back to the compressor. Also a new dryer would not hurt.

Where is ac orfice on 2005 yukon ?

Most GM products have the o-tube located inside the evap metal line where the high side hose connects. Evacuate the freon, then disconnect the high side line. Look in the metal line coming out of the evaporator and there it is. These can require that you carefully screw a screw into the plastic part then use vise grips to remove. Usually, these are replaced along with the filter/dryer when recharging the system.

Where is the a/c orfice and canaster located?

the A/C expansion valve (orfice) is right next to the evaporator
in fact that is what causes the Freon to change from liquid to gas.
and must be there.
the Canister, (the receiver /dryer ) is usually near the condensor. end .
you can see the line clear, open hood, see the 2 compressor lines
the 2 fire wall line(hoses/pipes)
see the 2 condensor lines.
the dryer is on the line to the condensor. just follow it, and bingo. thar she be....

are you sure it as a orfice or expansion valve? if its a orfice look for a small line coming from the condenser if the ofrice comes out it should have a disconnect on that line the line sould go from the condenser to the dryer or evaporater. if it has a expansion valve it will be on the fire wall wear the a/c lines go threw. i have never seen this car but all the rules apply

Where is the orfice located on the liquid line feeding the evaporator of the AC?

Find a crimp that looks like a little notch in the line usually before the lowside port and after the high side port. Has a nut holding the lines togethor. You can use a Cresent Wrench to loosen it, and slowly pull them the lines apart. They are Flexible enough to manuver around the lines around to get to the orfice tube. You can use needle nose pliers to pull it out. and replace and Reverse instalation

New a*c just stops all is new full of r 134 pressur ok

Did you replace the orfice ? its like a screen device in the line near the firewall where the freon enters the dash..It also acts as an orfice which lets the freon squeeze into the car making it cold in the evaporator.. Which then is blown by your fan into the car making it cold.. I guess i didnt ask is the compressor kicking on ? or not at all. the compressor is controled by a pressure switch on the dryer .. when the system is low the compressor will not come on .. hope this helps jerry and holler if you need more ...
