It means that the O2 sensor isn't switching as fast as it should. Make sure there are no vacuum or exhaust leaks. Most Likely you got a lazy O2 sensors which would require replacement.

yes i would recommend replacing the o2 sensor, 9 times out of 10 it will correct the problem and they usually aren't too expensive for the saturn's

sounds like a dirty mass air flow sensor.if you have in deed replaced it i would check the voltage going to the sensor.perhaps its a faulty connection between the power controle module and the sensor socket.if that dosent work i have a few more tricks to try get back to me and i will help further. poppinwheelies@sbcglobal.net

is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?
if a 4 cylinder it will only have 2 o2 sensors
V6 will have 4 o2 senors which the sensor will be the right side of the engine first sensor.
1st sensor on exhaust, I recommend if you change one change all, as this will make the computer when it rechecks the system you have all clean/fast responding sensors.

if you have a slow response it means the sensor is dirty and not reading well, which is usually caused by minor misfires that the engine computer dismisses, so a tune up would be recommended too.

P1133 is a slow 02 sensor or a shorted to ground at the PCM to 02 sensor signal. If the 02 sensor does not cycle fast enought it is called a lazy 02 sensor, the only way to test for this is with a digital volt meter or a scanner. if it will not pulse fast enough it will throw the code so Replace the 02 senor on the driver side bank. Bank one. then clear the codes. The code is thrown do to seveal reasons the 02 sensor could be dirty or it just could be worn out, you could pull it and clean it and try it again or just replace it and be done with it. The cost of a heated 02 sensor is $50.00 at a auto parts store or the dealer might charge a little higher but the cost in savings of fuel is well worth it.

HO2S-11 (Bank 1 Sensor 1) No Activity Detected

Trouble Code Conditions: Engine started, engine running in closed loop at a speed over 3 mph for more than 2 minutes, and the PCM detected the HO2S signal stroke rationality was more than the threshold value (0.250 volt) during the Heated Oxygen Sensor Monitor test.

Possible Causes:

Possible Causes:


Fuel filler cap damaged, cross-threaded or loosely installed.Small hoses or cuts present in the EVAP vapor hoses/lines.EVAP purge valve is damaged or has failed.Here you are the symptons.

P0340 OBD-II Trouble Code - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM. Don't just replace the CPS (camshaft position sensor) and think that will definitely fix it.

Symptoms can include:
* Hard starting or no start
* Rough running / misfiring
* Loss of engine power

Causes: A code P0340 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
* a wire or connector in the circuit could be grounded/shorted/broken
* the camshaft position sensor may have failed
* the PCM may have failed
* there exists an open circuit
* the crankshaft position sensor may have failed

Possible Solutions: With a P0340 OBD-II trouble code, diagnosis can be tricky at times. Here are some things to try:
* Visually inspect all the wiring and connectors in the circuit
* Check for continuity in the circuit wiring
* Check the operation (voltage) of the camshaft position sensor
* Replace the camshaft position sensor as required
* Check the crankshaft position circuit as well
* Replace circuit wiring and/or connectors as required
* Diagnose/replace the PCM as required



P0133 OBD-II Trouble Code - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank1, Sensor1)

This involves the front oxygen sensor on Bank 1. This code indicates the engine air fuel ratio is not being adjusted by the oxygen sensor signal or the ECM as expected to do so, or not adjusted as often as expected to do so once the engine is warmed or under normal engine use.

Symptoms: You will likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms.

Causes: A code P0133 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* The oxygen sensor is faulty
* The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed
* There is an exhaust leak

Possible Solutions: The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If the code comes back, the problem is more than likely the front Bank 1 oxygen sensor. You will likely wind up replacing it but you should also consider these possible solutions:
* Check and fix any exhaust leaks
* Check for wiring problems (shorted, frayed wires)
* Check the frequency and amplitude of the oxygen sensor (advanced)
* Check for a deteriorating / contaminated oxygen sensor, replace if necessary
* Check for inlet air leaks
* Check the MAF sensor for proper operation

I have a 1996 Ford 150 ranger and the check engine light is on . My OBD trouble code is PO153 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response ( Bank 2 Sensor 1 ) What does all this mean. Thanks


the bank 1 and bank 2 refers to what part of the engine the sensor is monitoring , usually bank 1 is one head and bank 2 is the other head.
bank 2 sensor 1 look for your o2 sensor an the passenger side of you truck, and unplug the connector, then plug it in and unplug it and plug it in. do that a few times to (make the little connector pins rub each other and get a better connection) most of the time water and stuff has gotten inside the plugs and it causes it to get bad connection. try that , and then take the battery connections loose for a few minutes to allow the computer to reset. if it was a bad connection the problem won't ever come back.
if you go 2 weeks and get a code again ( the same code ) your sensor is going bad and needs to be replace. slow circuit response just means that the computer isnt getting the measurements fast enuff. ( dirty connection) We hope.
