We need more information. When you put the truck in reverse do you get a solid tone or nothing when you get close to an object.
Either case you need to check the connector under the truck by the spare tire. This connector can corrode or just not be making good connection. Then you may need to pull the bumper and inspect every sensor and the connectors to them. If you have a cracked sensor it will need to be replaced. So look at them very closely.
My 2010 was giving a solid tone and the connector by the spare had slightly come apart and had a lot of dirt and sand in there. Blew it out with compressed air and contact cleaner. I added some dielectric grease and problem solved in my case.

2010 CRV, just shy of 30,000 miles. Will not start. Has been in the repair shop 4 times in 7 or 8 months. New Alternator, new battery. What is causing this???

has there been any fault codes reported or has anybody bothered reading the fault codes
reasons for not starting include
cam/ crank position sensors--- broken wiring , faulty harness connections, sensor position adjustment incorrect
low fuel pressure --- pressure regulator problem, fuel pump relay problem, fuel pump
immobilizer problems --- fob battery low on charge , problem immobilizer system
ignition control module--- wiring , faulty internal components
gear position switch---park or neural out of adjustment--wiring problems
a battery may be causing the problem--- but check ground points for tight and clean-- if you are saying that occasionally it will not start, it could be a problem starter motor with a bad commutator bar
it has been back for a number of times but the replaced items indicate that the shop is using a replace parts to find the problem rather that a fault code systematic approach to trouble shooting and problem solving
might pay to find an accredited service shop with experience on your make of vehicle

Hi guys, I have a ford transit connect LWB 2006, I've bought reverse parking sensors, but I can't seem to find out what colour the wires are for + & - for the reverse parking light?

Does this hook up to the transmission range sensor switch on the tranny? If so use a 12 volt test light ($5 at any auto parts store or online) and put the truck in reverse and probe the wires at the range switch, when you get a light in the test light that should be it, to verify shift out of park and the test light should go off.

My windshield wipers wont shut off on my 2011 Ford Transit Connect

Usually the problem is inside the wiper motor. If you can see any contact points or can spray a little WD40 on what you see, it may help. Sometimes backing off the mounting screws and retightening them will allow the grounds to be reestablished.

How to trouble shoot the brake system?

To trouble shoot the brake system you have to check:AntiLock Brake System ABS:
Hydraulic Modulator
Basically this unit holds steady or bleeds off pressure in brake line, as necessary, when the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) detects an abnormal deceleration in the speed of the wheel. On 2000 and later models the EBCM and Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) are mounted on a bracket attached on the left strut tower.
Wheel Speed Sensors, brake fluid level, brake hoses and lines, inspect and replacement, Brake hydraulic system-bleeding, Brake light switch, check, adjustment and replacement.
Disk brake caliper, disk brake pads, drum brake shoes, master cylinder, master cylinder reservoir, O-rings replacement, parking brake adjustment, parking brake cables inspect and replacement, parking brake shoes-replacement, power brake booster, check or replacement, wheel cylinder inspect and replace.

Front nearside brake stays on when footbrake released

Replace the caliper on that side, or if you can, the piston in the caliper - that's what's sticking.

Until you get it fixed, the only workaround is to use the parking brake to stop the vehicle, instead of the main hydraulic braking system.
