Question about 2002 Dodge Intrepid
I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid. There are times that it simply will not start until the 3rd or 4th time (but it eventually starts). There are also times that I can't get it over 2.5 RPM before it starts sputtering really bad. It's also dying when in travel but it starts right back up. This has been going on for awhile now without it getting any worse or any better. Do you have any idea what is causing this? Thank you, Tim
I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid and had a similar problem; while, in motion my car would turn off so I would pull over with its flow. I would wait there for about 20 to 30 minutes and tried turning it back on and it did. This would happen often. After, doing my research and having a few guys helping me to figure this out, and changing a few sensors that cost over $50.00 a piece that didn't solve the problem. I find out that the crankshaft position sensor needed to be replaced; which, I did and I only paid $12.00 at AutoZone. It never again turned off on me again. (of course only when, I would turn it off). I hope this helps you and if you have any other question please ask, I've had too many issues with this vehicle and my only solution is to repair it. I am unemployed, so I can't afford to purchase another vehicle or hire a mechanic. Good luck :-)
