Traction is trying to engage which makes the sound. Can be a loose or dirty connection at the wheel (tiny plug) but will often recur. We gave up after have this fixed 5 times. The wires are just too short for the traction control system, so when you turn the wheel,. they start to pull apart. Do not have computer board replaced as it will only solve the problem for a few days!

Where is the sound coming from? does it sound like it is coming from the tires? if the sound is then it is probably the ball bearings. should be a humming sound

have code retrieved most auto stores offer this service for free ---check hub /wheel bearing grinding good possibility its shot hub has abs sensor built into it which can be part of traction control issue -c/v axle can also give grinding issue ----as well as check brakes may need brake replacement --stuck/damaged caliper - a brake pad damaged/stuck against rotor

On my 2012 Impala on take of I'm hearing a grinding scrapping noise also a temporary warning on service stability and brake asst also a traction light I have had both of my front hub's changed

You say you had the front hubs replaced do you mean the brake rotors.
This sounds like a wheel bearing problem it would make a noise and also as the bearing degrades the wheel wil start to wobble .This would effict brakes traction and stibelty sensors .Who replaced the parts they would be responsable if you had a warrenty
Jack the vehicle up front 1 wheel at a time grap the tire top and bottom it should not move in and out at all if so its a bearing the whole system rides on the bearings .
This is a system so check rotor pads calipers sensors it all has to work together

My service stabletrack keeps come on how to fix that

Hi there:

Your vehicle is equipped with StabiliTrak, which combines antilock brake, traction and stability control systems and helps the driver maintain directional control of the vehicle in most driving conditions.
Traction control activates when the controller senses wheel spin. StabiliTrak will selectively apply the brakes and reduce engine torque to help regain traction.

Stability control activates when the controller senses a discrepancy between your intended path and the direction the vehicle is travelling. StabiliTrak selectively applies braking pressure at any one of the vehicle's brakes to help guide the vehicle in the direction which you are steering.

When you first start your vehicle and begin to drive away, the system performs several diagnostic checks to insure there are no problems. You may hear or feel the system working. This is normal and does not mean there is a problem with your vehicle. If driving conditions delay system initialization, the STABILITRAK NOT READY message may be displayed. If this is the case, your vehicle does not need servicing.

When the StabiliTrak system is both on and actively controlling the stability of the vehicle, the StabiliTrak light will blink for the duration of the event.

You may also feel or hear the system working. This is normal.
StabiliTrak will turn off automatically if a problem is detected in the system. The StabiliTrak light will come on and SERVICE STABILITRAK will be displayed on the DIC. For vehicles without a DIC, the StabiliTrak light and the StabiliTrak service light will both come on. If the SERVICE STABILITRAK message (or StabiliTrak service light) does not clear itself after restarting the vehicle, you should see your dealer for service.

Hope this helps.

I have a 2005 Buick Rendezvous. I replaced my rotors and brake pads and 2 wks later my brakes would pump back at me when depressed. I wondered if the anti-lock system was acting up. Then, randomly, the...

you probably have air in the lines that finally worked their way back to the master cylinder,, bleed the brakes , as with any brake system malfunction, you want to have them check professionally by a certified mechanic

2000 buick regal , track light on, anti lock brake light on???

You will need to take it to the GM dealer or any well equipped brake shop and have the system ABS/Traction Control system computer scanned, a fault has occurred in the system and at this time you have no Traction control or Anti-Lock brakes. When the lights were turned on the systems control module stored a code for the fault in the system. The ABS and Traction Control are one in the same system.

2002 Buick Rendezvous Service traction system and ABS lights, grinding when turning ans braking

The ABS and Service Traction system may be due to bad sensors or signal reaching the ABS/Traction Control computer. The grinding may be due to uneven or unsmooth rotors, and/or worn out pads or shoes.

I would recommend that the entire braking system be diagnosed at your local dealer or brake service facility.

Service Traction System Light on 2003 Chev Impala

on the rotors you probably noticed two lines one for the brakes and the other is your traction control magnet which picks up a signal to tell the computer to control the braking system when the wheel locks up in hard braking, you either damaged the magnet or it picked up some metal shaving while replacing the brake pads
