Did you have any work done on the engine? it sounds as though the engine and/or valve timing may not be set correctly. Have the timing checked and reset if needs be. Good luck!

MY 89 4X4 BLAZER BACKFIRES IN THE ENGINE HOW DO I FIX THIS

The backfire could be a problem with the distributor cap or plug wires, or lack of fuel. The cap or wires could get damp and short out until the engine gets hot.
The fuel pressure could be low or not steady until the engine warms up.

Check the battery cables for corrosion near the battery terminal end. Sometimes it builds up under the rubber insulation. I would check the ground wire that runs from the battery to the engine block.

Unplug the turn signal relay from the fuse box and start you engine. Does it still make that noise?
If yes... Put the relay back in, that is not the problem.
If No...Then the relay could be bad, replace it!
