This carburetor is a Throttle body injection system the injectors requires pulses to control fuel spray. With starting fluid spray some down each side crank engine if it starts runs then dies then check the following #1 fuel pressure #2 check for engine codes cycle ignition key on & off three time (off,on,off,on,off,on) watch the crank engine light flash first set is ten code pause second set single code so a flash flash pause flash flash flash pause repeat would be code 23 repeat 23 then the next one with a end of message code of 55 with the code you can find the computer part that is failing.

Fuel filter

It should be near the carburator. A line that feeds your Carburator comes from the fuel filter area. it has to go through your filter first than to your carburator unless its missing a filter. Just follow the gas line

The gas is not going into the intake but has good gas presuer

-Check the fuel filter inside the carburator and the cut off fuel plunger inside the carburator. It might be stuck in or lose from it floating arm.
That's why it doesn't let fuel flow to the caburator recevoir.

-Check gas presure and any gas in the carburator?
Yes. The internal pump is won out. Need to replace it.
Q: Where is the internal pump...?
A: It's inside the carburator. (It looks like the toilet plunger)
You can't see untill the cover has been remove.

I have a 97 Dakota with a v8 it starts every time and dies I have dumped fuel threw the top and it stays running until the fuel is gone the fuel pump is good and the crank sensor is good does anyone no...

Take the next step in troubleshooting...follow the gas! After the fuel pump is the fuel filter( when did you change it last?) ; if that doesn't work go to the carburator and see if it is getting gas by opening the fitting to it; if the fuel is making it to the carburator, the carb is the culprit...overhaul it or get a rebuilt one!

What is it when I am going up hill and step on the gas the truck starts cutting out?

Inside your carburator is a mini gas tank (float bowl) that keeps a specific amount of gas in reserve to accommodate changes. It isn't getting enough gas. The most likely culprit would be the fuel filter, so get it changed first. If that doesn't make the problem go away then the fuel pump is likely getting weak and not pushing enough gas into the carb. You can get it tested before you change it to make sure. If it tests good or you change it and still have the problem you will have to get the carburator taken off and rebuilt. Over time there will be a certain amount of crud acumulate in the float bowl that is interfering with gas delivery or it's also possible the float has become "waterlogged" and is not keeping gas at the proper level. Rebuilding carburators is not a job for rookies. It may cost more up front to have it done by a shop, but it will save you a lot of grief in the end.Hope this helps.

While traveling at a speed of 30-40 mph, I get a backfire from my trottle body on my 1989 Chevy Caprice classic. 305 engine.

Backfire is usually a timing issue so if it isn't happening at idle and the timing is correct at idle when set according to spec then the problem is the vacuum advance not functioning correctly.

Gas peculating in carburator and running into motor.

there is exhaust that runs from head to head under carburetor . there should be a damper that opens when cold and closes when hot . when it stays open after motor reaches operating temperature gas in bowl boils and gas is a vapor instead of a mist and causes motor to run lean .
