Engine mechanical problems most likely, have the compression tested or a cylinder balance test run.

My 2001 ford taurus recently started to overheated even I drove, I kept filling with water. I was on my way to the store to get a thermostat when the engine started making a clicking noise when I would ...

I would take the thermostat out and leave it out, and make sure the cooling system is full.
Drive it to a shop or parts store and get the computer scanned for trouble codes. The codes will point you in the direction of what to look for.
Once you take care of the check engine light problems you can try putting the new thermostat back in.

While filling the gas tank the pump clicks off constantly, takes a long time to get gas in vehical

Typical **** Ford design. Try rotating the bowser nozzle (in the filler hole while fueling) to 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock or 9 o'clock, or even upside down if necc. Or you can try pulling the trigger part-open instead of 'flat-chat' (fast fill) Problem common to 5-10% of cars, good luck.

Car making clicking noise when trying to start

It's clicking multiple times without starting?Locate the starter. If you're not sure where it is,call a shop or a dealer and they will tell you free to attract future business.Tap on the starter 2 or 3 times with a hammer, not too hard, not too soft then try to start. It may take several tries but it should end up starting meaning...you have a bad starter. Good luck! Greg
If that is not the case, just reply to this post and I will get an auto email saying you commented.

Chirping when @3500 to 4000 rpms, 2000 taurus

3500 rpms is about 80 mph. Is this noise in 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear? Is check engine light on?
Chirping could be accessory belt noise. Spray them one at a time with belt dresing to see if it goes away and which belt is doing it.

2006 Taurus won't start

If the starter needs that much current to start then I would suspect the starter bendix, replace both at the same time.
