One line at a time so you can be sure to not cross up circuits. Do not use any petroleum products to make it easier to push the hoses on. Use only silicone spray, it will dry leaving no oily residue that will attract dirt.

I hope this helps, good luck!

SOURCE: 1992 dodge dakota ignition switch

the mechanic should check the ignition switch, the wires, the fuses, the ignition assembly ,the rotor coil, the starter solenoid and the connection of the ignition switch to the battery . If there is a worn out or destroyed spare parts then repair or replace them .the wires , if there are loose wires or worn out wires reconnect them or replace them.the fuses if there are worn out or destroyed fuses then replace them also. These are the causes of electrical problem of truck .If these said spare parts are being checked or replace then the car problem can be solved. the truck won't start because of some electrical problem not being seen . to be checked. And don't forget the connection of the battery to the ignition system . if there is a wire loose then re connect if worn out then replace.

Not all fuses are installed, only those that run the systems that were installed by the factory, you will have empty fuse slots.. I know this because I had this same truck for 20 years.

My 1992 dodge Dakota is skipping and wants to stop. What is wrong? I've already changed the gas.

use a hand vacuum pump to test the egr valve. if you put about 5 inches of vacuum on it you should see movement of the pintale shaft. if not, it may need cleaned or replaced. Check the vacuum port and make sure it is not blocked or plugged.

I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota. When the A/C is

V6 engine? If so, there is a small plastic vacuum tube that runs from the blend door actuator under the dash to a connector in the engine compartment. The tube goes thru the fire wall about 5 inches above the throttle cable (right under the heater core tubes). The tube runs about 10 inches (behind the intake manifold) to a vacuum tube that tee's off the right side of the intake.

My tube was broken....dealer and NAPA did not have a tube that small but had one that fit over it for a quick splice.
