SOURCE: air-spring suspension 1995 mark Vlll Lincoln

Save your self the hassle and expence of troubleshooting and replacement parts, install a suspension retrofit kit which changes the rear bags to coil springs and the front to struts. A car this old you might as well start over for less than $500.00......

SOURCE: How can I disable the anti theft system? It will

do this, dont use the button or any button to lock your doors, just manually lock it. It will stop then. Then you can fix the problem, under the mat on the back of the trunk there should be a black box back there, if you open that up there will be a sensitivity level, where you can make it so low nothing would set it off or so high even rain would make it go off. Or you may need a new box, but that would have to be done by chevy due to codes for that car

SOURCE: my 95 lincoln continental wont start i replaced

If it has no spark you might try to replace the ign. module by the drivers side hood hinge attached to fender . Bought this part at pull a part for less than ten dollars. Put it on and cranked right up. Be sure t seal the water out when replacing.

How to turn off anti theft 1997 lincoln continetal

So if you are asking about disabling the anti-theft, you cannot as it was installed for a reason and it was not made to completely disable. However, there are several ways to reset the anti-theft: (1) push the panic button on your remote. (2) Ensure all of the doors, trunk and hood are closed and lock and unlock the doors.

More than likely, you will find that you have a problem with one of these switches or the wiring and I would put my money on the switch as they are known for going bad. Many times, you can simply push them in and out so that it breaks through the carbon buildup and makes contact but if the switch has failed, this will not work.

The 97 uses a 'normally open' (if I remember correctly) switch so you can bypass the switch by simply unplugging it. If it is a 'normally closed' switch (in case I don't remember correctly) you can put a jumper wire across the contacts to disable the switch.

If you need a recommendation for a repair shop, go see Jack Ellenburg at Jack's H&W Auto and Truck repair on Miles Road. He is by far the best Ford/Lincoln mechanic in town and the person may other shops take their vehicles to when they can't fix them. Including the dealers. :) And no, I do not work for him, just know of his work and reputation.

My lincoln continental ford locked its self. the steering wheel and everything is locked. how do i unlock it?

The 3 most common causes are a security issue with your Anti theft system, a bad brake pedal switch, or a faulty ignition switch. Either of these would cause your steering wheel to lock up.

1999 Continental will not start

I think the anti theft anewer is correct. I have an extra key for my '99 Lincoln continental that apparently doesnt have whatever "chip" it needs in it. If you try to use that key it cranks but won't start. I don't know if the key "chip" can fail or not. Maybe a quick conversation with a lock smith will shed some light on the problem.
