Question about 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4WD
I cant seem to shut off the interior lights in my jeep. The lights work fine and such, but I want to be able to open the doors to clean my jeep or air it out without the interior lights turning on. I have searched high and low for a solution. I cannot pull the fuse as it kills the overhead console as well. I cannot use those door springs as they are for doorless jeep. I have not slider switch for it but the panel where it would be is there if it were installed in my jeep, which is was not. The space is still sealed. Tapping the posts down does not work either as the posts are far too strong for tape to keep them depressed.
Is there a way to easilly shut them off when I need to?
Forget about shutting the lights off...not worth the effort. Besides, the amount of power is not that much, unless you have the doors open all day (why not just open the windows?) If you need to have the doors open all day, get a 2 amp battery charger and attach it while it's open. It will do a lot to keep your electrical system in top charge and you will be doing something good for it!
