Buy a code reader or take it to a mechanic that has one.

How can I reset the service engine soon light on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue

Hi,
The service light is indicating there is a fault code either in the ECM or BCM system. The only way in which this can be switched off is to have these codes checked and cleared in these to control unit with a diagnostic tool.

2004 Buick LaSabre engine service light is on and dealer and autozone says it is a loose gas cap but it is not loose. What do I do?

The cap might need a pressure check. Just because it stays on and tight doesn't mean it is functioning properly. It must meet EPA standards to function properly. Your cap is special part of your emission system and if it is not working properly you will need to replace it and have the light reset. If you owed a code reader it would tell you the same. Auto zone does do free code reading. The check engine light usually is not a big problem,but... I will leave it at that.

2000 Nissan Xterra Service Engine soon indicator is always on

The knock sensor is not a huge deal to replace and will not turn on the light. It should be dont though.

The crankshaft sensor is located directly between the engine and transmission. It is dead center at the bottom.
