Everyday i turn the key and nothinig happens. i turn it over and over again until finally it turns the motor. I am not sure if it is the ignition or starter or even alternator. I will crank her over with no sound unless it is the fuel pump ingaging but thats it until she actually starts.

I once had a small piece of paper floating in the gas tank that would wrap itself around the fuel pick up tube and stop fuel flow. Stop it....paper floats again .... good to go until it happened again. Have a look in the fuel tank. It drove me nuts until I finally had a look.

I have occasionally had the problem where the key won't turn. It usually happens when the steering wheel lock mechanism prevents wheel from turning enough to allow the key to turn. It sounds like a similar issue for you. Perhaps something is not aligned properly when they re-installed the wheel. I'd take it back to the shop that serviced the steering wheel and explain the problem.

If the security light is hot or flashing when the key is in the on position, most likely the ignition key tumbler housing has failed.

You can try resetting the pass code by turning the ignition switch to the on position (do not crank or start the engine). Leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes. Turn the key to the off position, wait 5 seconds and turn the key to the on position again and leave it on for 10 more minutes. Cycle the key to the off position again for 5 seconds the back on for a final 10 minutes. Once the final 10 minutes is complete, turn to the off position again, wait 5 seconds and now turn the ignition on and to the start position. The pass code has now been reset and it should start. If the reset does not work you will have to change the ignition key tumbler housing that contains the key code resistor.

Sounds like something wrong with the linkage between the key lock and the switch or inside the switch.

Your stater is sticking in a certain position. It will more than likely get worse. If your car wont start you can tap it with a iron bar and it should then turn over, until you get a new one.

if you turned the steering wheel after shutting off the engine and the steering wheel caught the lock and tried to turn back it would hold pressure against the ignition lock cylinder. if it happens again try pulling the steering wheel hard one way or the other and turn the key at the same time.

move the steering wheel while turning the key in the ignition and it should come unlocked. This happens sometimes, its just on a bind. Like i said just turn the steering wheel left and right the little bit that you can and the key will be able to turn.

When this happens and the key is in the Ignition position, do the dash lights, etc come on? Could be the ignition switch is bad, and this is and easy way to tell. If the ignition is on and when we go to START, nothing happens, I would replace the starter/solenoid next.

keys & locks are subject to wear,especially if you have a large or heavy key-ring.do you have a spare key to try?the tip[pointy end] of the key is what releases the lock.have a new key made.if that doesn't work,call lock smiths for price to replace lock cylinder.

definately ignition switch gone bad, replace them. go from there.
