My hhr 2006 i try to clean the throttle body but now the relenti is to high how i reprogram the throttle body

You need to use the Tech II scan tool from GM to perform this relearn process. You can try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, but you more than likely will need the relearn procedure done at your local dealer.

How do I do a throttle body replacement relearn on a 04 isuzu ascender

The relearn is done by unhooking the battery for 30-60 minutes. With all HVAC OFF, hook the battery back up and drive your Ascender around for about 40 min or so, at this time, it will relearn. To test it, stop the vehicle put it in park and turn your AC on, if your car doesn't show signs of boggin down or trying to die on you, your relearn was done correctly. This is all assuming that your throttle body is CLEAN!!! If it's not clean, your idle will be bad and engine will try and die on you at idle when your AC or Defroster are on. Relearn should of already been done---> you always disconnect the battery when cleaning the throttle body, as to not to damage the stepper motor that moves the butterfly. To properly clean the throttle body and for best results, always remove the entire throttle body and clean BOTH sides with a sensor safe spray like Seafoam and a rag or nylon brush, you can reuse the hard plastic gasket. Hope this helps!

How do I adjust the throttle body

The throttle bodies on most newer cars are not adjustable for its idle speed. If the Check Engine Light is on, go to the nearest auto parts store and get them to pull the error codes from your car's computer. Post the codes back here and we can give you a better answer to your question

2004 chevy colorado throttlle body relearn

I haven't done a throttle relearn. All I have done are plug and play. Ecm controls the throttle thru the pedal position sensor. I've done up to 2010 so far, on various makes and models.

Pcm relearn

what large topic. and wow, not even a FUNCTION STATED
just the WHOLE PCM,.
no symptoms, no issues, just that.
not sure what engine you have there, and matters !!!
most PCM's relearn EVERYTHING after you pull the battery
connections or the PCM memory fuse. IOD fuse.

dont pull the battery, or lose radio passcodes. (bricks IT or NAV bricked, if opted)
lots of learn, paths.
fuel trim? ( does o automatically as does spark)
spark advance, and knock data?
transmissions all have learn mode, and do so automatically when reset.
now the last one, some cars, the TB (throttle ) body must be relearned, some are auto learn others not.
aka: throttle by wire ,relearn.
did you replace something (my other shoe drops......)

did you first scan the PCM and see if there are issues.
if not, why not, why work blind>?

there are other learns
seat position (guessing BCM)_
pedal position relearn, omg.
Sentry Key "Customer Learn" Mode
transmission quick learn or drive learn (read the FSM yet?)
chapter 8e-290 + all those learn steps for trans, takes no tools.
RTM? yet?

instrument cluster learn mode? Odometer?
At the garage door opener receiver (motor-head unit) in the garage, locate the 9learn9 or 9smart9 button.
sun roof relearn?

TPS learn(excepted)
"Is the voltage reading within the listed specification when the
jumper wire is installed?
Yes >> Replace the Throttle Body Assembly. Disconnect the Battery
when replacing the Throttle Body Assembly. After
installation is complete, use a scan tool and select the
ETC RELEARN function.

No >> Go To 4
NOTE: Remove the jumper wire before continuing."

ill stop here, (i scanned the whole FSM for you on LEARN)
these newer cars the PCm .,BCM and other modules work on cooperative modes. Ill be the last to ever say , where learn data i stored, that i below my paygrade (retired and zero) LOL !

why not post something more focused.
I'm considering a new TB.
what do I need to know.?

Throttle Position Sensor

I just finished fixing my 2005 Envoy with the same problem. Your problem is most likely a dirty throttle body. If you take it to a shop they are going to want to replace it for about $500. If you clean it, you can usually fix it for less than 10. There are a couple of good videos on youtube about removing and cleaning the throttle body. Some say not to touch the butterfly inside, but you can also pull the fuses for the fuel system, or do an idle relearn procedure after you clean the throttle body so the vehicle will run properly. Basically, you can clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner after removing the unit from the intake manifold. You will need a flat-head screw driver, a 10 mm socket with an extension to remove the vortec cover/box that covers most of the engine. There is a wire attached to the left rear corner of the box and an evap hose attached to the front left corner of the box. Then you remove the plug on the throttle body, the fuel line and four mounting bolts and the throttle body comes off. Don't use anything abrasive to clean the part--just throttle body cleaner. Also Don't drop the part. These seem to be rather delicate and using abrasives or dropping the unit will damage the coating on the inside of the throttle body. I do recommend watching the videos.

After cleaning the unit, you may need to do a throttle relearn procedure for the system to reset. look these instructions up online or call a GM dealer. You may also need to clear fault codes while driving the vehicle for the relearn procedure. It took about 20-25 minutes to remove and clean the throttle body, about 15 to reinstall it, and then 200 miles to reset the OBDII codes on the computer. My vehicle also has a faulty fuel guage wich made completing the OBD tests take longer than usual. The repair is pretty straight forward--by no means worth over $500 at a garage!!

Good luck, I hope this helps

Warm or cold, my 4.7L V-8 jumps up to 1,500 rpms every time I start it. Then it immediately settles down to 600 rpms. I have replaced the TPS sensor, but the problem remains.

throttle has a lot of carbon build up need cleaning. if check engine light flashing code scan for code.but more likely could have clogged air filter.idle air control passage clogged dirty.check make sure throttle body linkage not binding sticking.
