How much oil does a 1993 Toyota hilux gearbox hold

0 There is a plug on the side of the gear box. Pull plug out. You should be able to stick your finger into the hole and touch the gear oil. If not, check on your owner manual and see what type of oil goes back into the gear box. Fill it up until it start coming out of the plug hole.put plug back in, & back to riding. Are when you go to the oil change shop???? Get them to show you where it is at, and get them to top it off for you.???

Gear Box Removal:

Drain the gear box oil by removing the drain plug.

Here is the input for the speedometer cable drive. If the gear box is in the frame, you will need a 10 mm wrench to loosen the bolt holding the cable. Back the bolt out until you can pull the speedometer paddle drive free.

If the gear box is on in the frame you will also need to remove the neutral switch wire with a 13 mm wrench and slotted screw driver to keep the adjustment screw from moving.

Automatic is slipping in and out of gear

Check gear box oil level on dip stick (in d and Hot) IF ok have a pressure test done as there is not enough pressure to hold the bands and clutch pack. If they are failing then the filter in the sump may be blocked and not allowing enough oil to the pump.

Skoda gear selector assembly manual gearbox 1998 felicia please show design and possible solution to oil leak from gear box end

Normally there is a seal of sorts here (it may be a felt seal or a rubber flap) but I find that if there is a problem here I check firstly the oil level in the gear box and the viscosity of the oil in the box Remove the filler plug (plug in the side of the box ) and drain until oil is level with the bottom of the threads. Best replace oil with a known viscosity oil for you gear box.

Mazda 323 auto gear box when engine up to running temp and been driving for about 15 mins it keeps wanting to change gear culminating in the hold light flashing...and lumpy when slowing down or speeding...

You need a full service of the auto transmission. Check the oil condition for burnt smell.
The oil may be burnt out and fails to lubricate when temperature goes up.
But most likely the gear gaskets or gear teeth are worn out.

Mazda Famila BJ5P

even i had the same problem but try to take off ur AT oil and take off the filter of the AT gear box for this u can screw off the nuts of the sump of the AT gear box and then take the filter off and replace it by another then before replacing the filter keep the gear box to draw off all the oil which was there and then eplace it and put new gear oil

run the engine for a while about 4-5 days and again put on to a dignoser and reset the gear box settings
