Technically and legaly this should be done at a shop because they have the equipment to do it without hurting the ozone layer.
Otherwise you can buy a kit with the freon cans and the guages. After the guages are hooked up and system drains old freon. The cans are inserted, and guages are set to medium setting, the system is refilled.

SOURCE: Where does the freon go

On the metal AC lines look for a port with a blue cap. If you have two ports that both have black caps, it will be the smaller port.

A safety feature on your car is that it will not shift out of "park" if you are not applying the brakes . Make sure your doing that while trying to shift out of park .

SOURCE: Turn signals on 2003 lincoln Navigator Not working

does it work only one side or does not work at all? if neither side work then first try to check the fuse.
check the emergency lights to see if they are working, if not then check the flasher under the dash.
if the flasher work then it could be your multi-function switch.

Where is the low side ac input for adding refrigerant in the 03 lincoln navigator

How do you know you need to add?

First you leak test, then use refrigerant
gauges to look at system

If you have a leak you evacute system & repair

You shouldn't even be involved with A/C without
proper training & equipment.

If you add you will allow air into the system, add too
much & cause compressor damage.

COMMON SENSE--if you need to add you have a leak

---if you add to a leaking system you
are knowingly poluting the atmosphere
which is against federal regulations
