Albert, Have truck scanned for trouble codes. To test a transmission solenoid, use hand held ohm meter. Instructions in second link below, the attached links are informative on the different procedures used to test solenoids.

2005 suzuki reno code po734

lots! (can talk this all day) (a/t are no simple)
find a smarter shop!
going to a transmission shop they go , gee, that is all we know
here, swaps (or rebuilds only) AAMCO?
first stop is:
try a real ASE mechanic that can do the many tests on car.
called ON CAR tests, in the FSM
all my answers are for usa, cars,if not ignore all my posts.

https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1064-2005-forenza-reno-service-manual.aspx

$4 and is ReAL, not fake or cloned'

goggle find my ASE shop, BINGO.
type zip bingo2.

700 means tranny errors, any. (ignore
734 ( serious)
check levels yet, per above method(link?) step by step?
check fuses just in case.
oddly this car has a separate TCM tranny brain,
that drives 6 solenoids inside the box.
most suzuki a/t there is a secret( in fsm on all that do)
manual test mode. on most you un plug TCM connector and drive
to see if 4th gear really does slip, my guess is yes.
if yes slips, its bad trans, of no slip bad solenoid.
watch out manual mode can skip gears, #2 or 3, so test only 4.

replace the valve body, we do on regular trans, not sure
if that works on this transaxle type? (i dont have the book on this box)
in my shop i can hot wire solenoid(before retired)
this proves not TCM and is in the box
then i check solenoid coil ohms. 10 ok , 0 bad infinity bad.
10 can be 20 , idont know, the book above tells coil spec.
the soleniods can be bench tested.
but takes a real ASE MECH, NOT AFRAID TO DO ALL FSM CHECKS ON CAR. FACT.

I have a 1997 Nissan pickup xe hard body. reverse went out an doesn't work but all gears work dont know what to do

Could be a bad solenoid, in the transmission. Have the codes read. Probably bad clutches for reverse. Have the transmission rebuilt.

Transmission 3rd gear bind (F4A51-2)

have u had pcm checked by specialist company?
sounds like it is either getting the wrong info ir its giving the wrong info which is causing confusion.
I assume you have had it scanned and cleared/ checked all codes.
i also assume the battery / alternator charging sytem is all functiong correctly and is correct for the car. some cars are very fussy about the amperage in the system.
check it out

Imrc

read that page in the FSM. on P2006,
and do what it says.
same answer for all cars,
it tell you what tests to do to find the cause.
try alldata.com , log in and read what it says;.

the PCM can set that for 2 reasons.
1: the IRMC is bad.
2: the vacuum reading on the engine or so out of wack. this test lies.

this might be under the 8year, smog warranty, did you check?
what it does is , give better low end torque. so, its no show stopper.
in a real jeep shop, the attach their scan tool and tell it to cycle the
IMRC solenoid, and if it moves, then it must be some other cause.
if it dont move, they fix that. (wires bad, or solenoid)

one thing people dont understand is that most cheap scan tools
(like used in most autozoned) do not let you see all OBD2 DTC codes
there are many, codes, it seems yours is scanning right.
P2. is a factory only code.
so got other codes thrown?
or other symptoms, like bogging or misfire, or??????

also nobody can tell you what you can do.
we dont know your skills or tools ? or many other facts.
this code means the feed back signal says it didnt move, or did not move fully.
that is why not having factory tool makes this hard.
check connections, test the MFV. by hand. test the solenoid by hand.
if all these check out, then we scan the system looking for all other sensors reading funny.

here is the FSM page .

Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed
Number of Trips to Set Code: 1
Trouble Code Conditions:
The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the position feedback of the Manifold Flow Valve Position Sensor is not within range of the adapted value learned during in-plant initialization or after a non volatile memory reset (adaptive memory clear).
Possible Causes:
  • * 5 volt supply circuit open or high resistance, shorted to voltage, ground or another circuit
  • * MFV signal circuit open or high resistance, shorted to voltage, ground or another circuit
  • * Sensor ground circuit open or high resistance
  • * Manifold flow valve
  • * Intake manifold
  • * PCM

Car wont start

I dont know what kind of car you have, but just guessing, you should check the starter, starter solenoid, and some models have starter solenoid on the starter and on the inner fender of the car on the same side as the starter. On fords the wire on the side of the upper solenoid can come off and it wont start. Your local parts store can check the starter if you take it off and tell you if it is bad. Another thing to check if this is a chevy, is the wire on the starter solenoid, it may have broke off or pulled loose. I hope these suggestions help lead you to the problem.
