Your trans and T/C are likely toast with those codes. But stalling is another problem which could be plugs, fuel, coils, or ?

SOURCE: howling noise from the transmission

You will need to pull it ,and have it rebuilt. Need to be careful, because they usually don't touch the diff,on a trans axle rebuilt

I would get a reman from the dealer and have a shop R&R yours, then return the core.

It's a service interval reminder light that you should take your car to acura and have them perform the "b1" service. I would ask for an estimate first, and ask what that service includes. You may be surprised to find necessary and unecessary services. Some people view the b1 light as a way for Acura to get you car in there, quite possibly be charged for things you could probably do yourself.

SOURCE: Clicking noise when attempting to start my 2001 Acura RL

The clicking sound is the solenoid trying to operate and engage the starter. Have the battery checked for voltage and load, if it proves to be okay you may have a stuck starter which will require replacement and or repair.

Why did the reduced engine power and service traction light come on. The car can be started then looses power and stalls out.

When the check engine light comes on it disables other module features as a safety issue. The reduced engine power light is normally caused by a defective throttle actuator motor assembly. In some instances, it can also be caused by a defective gas pedal sensor as well. In my experience, the throttle actuator motor is the most common repair

How to change the transmission oil, and how many quarts to use, knowing that the SUV has what is called a sealed transmission.

Basically, these transmissions are filled using what's called a "double fill" technique. There are two drain plugs, one which actually drains the pan, and another that has an overflow collar inside that sets the level. You basically pump transmission fluid in with the engine off and the overflow plug out, until the fluid starts to flow out of the plug. Then start the engine and let it idle, pump in more fluid again until it starts to overflow again, and then replace the drain plug. This is supposed to be done with the ATF at approx. 40deg C, or basically just warm to the touch. You will likely need around 4 qts of fluid.

A/T or M/T (auto or stick ,we dont know)
n moving in drive, reverse or Low or 1? or 2? (me too lazy to look what tranny you have)
it can be 2 things
1: lack of engine power
2: bad clutch or transmission

who do we tell? easy
you step on gas , RPM goes way high and MPH dont. (slips)
tranny slip.
you step on gas, RPM tracks with MPH, good ,
you then do the 5second max. tranny stall test in every car FSM made. and see the stall speed, with brakes hard set.
too high is tranny slip
way to low, engine power POOR. has all this on tranny. stall speed.
the FSM turn to on car A/T service, see STALL test.
or youtube the vast number of videos on topic, stall.

wont move at all ,can be :
brake drag (passes stall test)
but first , the tests are, for bad engine or trans,
pick the one it is , state so, and we can go much farther.

Will not idle when you come to a stop. it will start back up and run.

Given this limited amount of information, my first thought is that your transmissions lock-up torque converter is not releasing.

It is an automatic transmission.......correct?

I need to know if the engine flat out dies as your vehicle stops... or does it spit and sputter... then die slowly????

If it dies very quickly just as your car is coming to rest:
There is a solenoid (electriclly actuated) valve inside the tranny pan. It is usually servicable without removing the transmission. It locks up your converter under certain conditions; and should release it when you apply the brakes and/or slow down.

If the lockup converter fails to release as you come to a stop, your engine will die abruptly.
This is either a malfunction of the lock-up solenoid or valve; or it could be a wiring issue.

VERY IMPORTANT: When restarted immediately after a stall, does it idle in gear smoothly?????

Is your "Service Engine Soon" light on?

Now if it is a slowwwww death, and does not idle smoothly immediately after a stall:
Then it is probably not related to your transmission at all; but rather the engine itself.

Areas to consider are :The fuel system (fuel pump, injectors, pressure regulator) vacuum hoses, ignition system (bad spark plugs, failed plug wires, weak ignition coils), or the emissions system (sensors etc).
Also, there is an IAC motor that controls the engine speed at idle.

That will require more data from you if possible.

Good Luck!!
