Stalling troubleshooting

run fault codes to check for electronic problems (TCM). If this problem only happens when the foot brakes are applied check for brake booster vacuum problem. Remove vacuum line and blank off and apply the brakes to see if the engine stalls at idle.

Stalling po103 po137

See thee attached link for P0103
For P0137 recommend checking for exhaust leaks prior to O2 sensor, check cat to see if its plugged if both are good replace the sensor... if issue persists you have a wiring issue or PCM issue.

Rough idle and stalling.did full tune up no change.changed o2 sensor ran like a dream for 2 days then started running rough and stalling again so i changed o2 sensor again and it ran good for 5 minuets...

the engine is emitting more carbon than the exhaust can transfer out befor cloging the o2 sensor
can rebuild the engine. not to confirm this simply pull the o2 back out take brake parts cleaner and spray it let air dry then reinstall and if it does it agine you know the engine needs rebuilt

My 2005 kia sedona keeps stalling and now has started bucking while driving.. the check engine light comes on and then goes off again but the problem still remains it usually stalls at least 4 times while...

If you put your foot on the brake and your car stalls, that is a symptom of your brake booster going bad.

For it stalling on the freeway that could be a few different things, Idle Air Control Valve, the Mass air flow sensor

INTERMITATE ENGINE STALLING FAULT WHEN BRAKING ON

Can you give me some more information? Does it run fine if you do not apply the brakes? This could be a failing brake booster and you are loosing vacuum when the brakes are applied....

Vehicle stalling at traffic stop like im about to run out of gas

Start with the simple and replace your fuel filter and clean your throttle body, When cleaning your throttle body pay attention to your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve passage way with is located on the back side to your throttle body air intake barrel.
Just follow the instructions on the spray can of throttle body cleaner and be safe. This should address your stalling issues from a dirty IAC valve.
Thank you for suing Fixya and be safe.

Stalling when brakeing

CHECK THE HOSE THAT GOES FROM THE MOTOR TO THE VACUUM ASSIST CHAMBER. SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE A VACUUM LEAK IN THAT HOSE. wHEN THE BRAKE IS PRESSED THE ENGING SUCKS IN EXTRA AIR WHICH MAY CAUSE THE STALLING.

My steering wheel and brakes lock up , then it feels like my trans mission slips then the car stalls. it has happened twice in the last to days. anyone have a clue?

Sounds like the main cause is the engine is stalling. This will cause the steering and brake problem which is what you are probably noticing first while you are driving. Now the question is why is the engine stalling. The list of possibilities is great and would take some diagnosis to figure out. If you know how to repair cars then check the fuel and ignition system and have the computer scanned for any codes. If not then take it in and have this problem checked immediatly. Loss of steering and brake control is dangerous and should not be take lightly! Good luck!

Car stalls when I step on the brake

There is a plastic valve going to the brake booster. That part or the brake booster itself can be the cause of your stalling. You are venting too much vacuum and killing the engine.
