Not exactly sure why you want to syphon gas out of the tank but on most cars now a days you can not simply stick a hose in the gas tank. The angle of the fill hose and the spring loaded flap make it virtually impossible. What you will have to do is pop the hood and unhook the fuel line. Then you will need to find the fuel pump relay under the hood as well. Then remove the relay and jump the two largest female connectors together. The last step is turn the key to the run position NOT START POSITION and the gas will pump out of the fuel line

How to drain my 2006 Dodge Durango fuel tank

If the pump will still run, you can open a fuel line, maybe use hose on line to aim down into a container and drain that way. Don't take any lines loose unless your sure no pressure on the system. Sometimes you can get under vehicle remove fill hose from gas tank, then use a siphon hose in the gas tank. Your local auto store probably has a plastic siphon hose, that has a squeeze bulb on it to create a siphon, so you don't have to use your mouth. I don't know if that will reach down the fill tube? In my younger years, they called a siphon hose an okla credit card. I'm almost 70 now, don't like getting gas in my

Easy way to empty fuel tank with no power. can you siphon the tank or is something blocking the filler tube.

They all have safety one way valve where the fuel filler rubber hose attached to the tank. The valve is part of the fuel tank. Can't get the hose through it without damaging it.

You can't. There is a roll over valve/ball in the neck of the tank preventing a siphon hose from entering the tank

How would i siphon gas out of a 2001lincoln continental? There seems to be something blocking and i dont seem to be getting anything..

Very hard to do on cars these days-most have an anti-siphon screen or baffle in the filler hose.
If you are going to remove the tank, lower it a bit first, then take off the filler hose, and you could get a siphon hose in then.
Another possibility is to remove the fuel line at the filter or someplace handy, and jumper the pump from a battery to pump the gas out.

1990 GMC Suburban. Tank is full, but can't seem to

You will have a difficult time since most gas tanks have like a check ball in them. The only way I've been able to somewhat easily siphon gas from my gm vehicles, was by almost uninstalling the tank.Otherwise, it take a lot of trying but you may be able to snake the siphon hose through the breather hose along the filler neck.

When fueling i have trouble getting fuel in, shuts off the gas pump handle constantly like its full of fuel when its not, takes forever to fuel

Sounds like somebody has tried to siphon off some gas from your tank. There is a little wire mesh trap in the filler to prevent a hose from going down to the tank, most cars anyway. I have a feeling there is something in there blocking the fuel. get a stiff wire with a hook on and see if you can't pull something out of there, It should go down about 1 foot. If that isn't it, I don't know what is going on.

I need to siphon the gas out of the car. I bought a siphon kit and put the correct hose from the pump into the tank, but the hose does not even get wet from the gas. The car was just filled up to capacity...

as you are pushing the hose in the tank twist the hose so it rolls over and it should go in, the hose will probably need to be three feet long, you may have to go to lowes or home depot and get a longer hose that will also fit the siphon pump
