You need to remove complete housing. Taking the lens off will cause big problems with moisture or you may crack by removing this way.

How do I change my driver side back up light? Do I need whole assembly?

Year/make/model?? Most back up lights are designed to have a replaceable bulb. Some you can access from a removable panel in the trunk area and twist the bulb out. Others require the entire lens assembly to be removed for bulb access. The lenses are normally held in place with plastic type screws/clips

How to change rear break light of mazda autozam? We are having trouble in removing the rear light.Help please. Thanks

Remove some of the casing around the whole rear lighting panel (casing) and also corresponding screws. On top ( just in the middle) of the lighting panel there is a small rectangular space and inside has a kind of circular head connected to it. Using a Screwdriver a sort of a lever, gently insert it and try to pop that circle out by pulling/lever the screwdriver handle to the direction of the car side ( ie: right light panel pulling to the right-side of the car) this will make the whole lighting panel pop out, you can turn the whole panel now and expose where the bulbs are connected to the lighting panel. Unscrew the cover and then you can just pop the broken bulb out like an Edison type of bulb.

How do I get to the backup lights to replace them? Does the clear cover next to my license plate just pop off? I have a 1988 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, 2 door. Thanks for any help.

No u have to open your trunk, when u open it look down just behind the light u should see what looks like three or four big plastic wing nuts unscrew these and the whole light assembly will pull out so be careful not to drop it once u get this off the light to be changed should be on the back of the light assembly gently twist the bulb holder piece Counter Clock wise it should come out easy, pull old bulb out replace with new one ,turn the bulb holder clock wise to put back in,and reverse the steps putting the light assembly back just remember not to tighten the black wing nuts in the trunk to tight

The passenger side window in my 2000 Lincoln LS has come off the track. How do fix that?

The window regualors on the lincoln LS are know pieces of junk.I have had several fail on mine.

The removal of the door panel is the trick I can help you with.
There are screws hidden under a plastic coner. This cover is at the bottom of the recess where the hand hold recess is on the door panel (the place where your fingers fit when you close the door). Pop the little cover up, and you will find the fasteners. The rest is more straight forward, once you get the panel pulled away, you can see whats going on inside your door.
It's not a fun repair, but paying the dealer is even less fun.

Good Luck

How to replace the side view mirror

If you're lucky, on the inside of the door, will be a triangular panel right behind the mirror that you can pop off. If you're not as lucky and it's one piece or the panel is blocked by the door panel, you'll need to remove the door panel to change it.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the bolts holding the mirror onto the door

How to change headlight on 2004 Mercury

When you open the hood you will see a cover where the hood latch is. Some covers have individual doors on each side of the hood latch. If you have that type just pop the release on the cover and reach down to the headlamp bulb. It comes out with a twist with the socket and then pull the bulb free. Use a kleenex or gloves to install new bulb and reverse the process.

If the whole panel is one piece there are some plastic button holders to remove to lift the cover. Your headlights are underneath. In some cases the passengers side headlight may require removing the battery to access. Then just twist the socket and remove the bulb afterwards, then reverse process.

How do I replace the "Backup Lights" in my 2006 Nissan Murano?

You will need to remove the hatch trim panel, it has a hand hold that you have to pry out carefully, push in on the center buttons of the 4 plugs located at the bottom of the door trim, push in about 1/4" on the center little plug, then you can remove the complete plugs by prying under the edge. Once you pop the plugs out, push the plug you pushed in back out an additional 1/4' it will then be reusable to reattach the trim panel. The lights have to be removed, they snap in & you will need to pry on the side away from the switch end, they will pop out, remove the wiring noting the position for reassembly. Now that whole panel is removeable, it just snaps & pops off as it's held with a few clips & pawls. No screws or bolts.

If it's off, you'll be able to see the wiring to the back-up lights, twist counterclockwise & remove the bulb, reverse to reinstall.

It's not as tough as it sounds, I've had my cover off several times to work on the camera system.

good luck.
