Http://www.edgeproducts.com/product_images/customer_support_article-pdf-39.pdf helps you identify the source of the codes to narrow it down. Just remember, with three codes, you need to solve the code problem that can impact the others as there is usually a dependency on other subsystems working for the automobile to function correctly.

Why is my check engine bringing up code po740 and won't go away and stay away

PO740 = Torque Converter Circuit Malfunction

Check all of the torque converter's electric connections--especially on that solenoid (but not just that part). It could be the transmission speed sensor. Just check from the transmission to the fuse box to make sure that the electric circuits have solid connectivity. Don't let oil short it out.

2001 jetta vr6 cranks but won't start have fuel and spark replaced camshaft sensor, new plugs valve cover gasket got code of PO343 and PO740

code po740 refers to torque converter clutch(TCC) solenoid-circuit malfunction==causes --wiring--TCC solenoid-ECM/TCM
code p0343 refers to cam shaft position sensor(CMP) A bank1-high input.==causes --wiring short to positive--CMP sensor---ECM. check which cam sensor you replaced and check the wiring connectors. use a code reader to reset the cpu when finished

Code p-0700 / p-0740 how to clear code

To clear the codes is the easy part, you can use a scan tool or remove the battery neg terminal for 5 mins but the codes will come back.

the PO700 is a code that tells you there is a ****** code which is the PO740 code. the PO740 code means the TCC circuit has a problem. this could mean there is a bad tcc solenoid or wire to tcc.

I would have this problem checked out asap. these vans have a lot of problems with the transmissions . your problem may be as simple as a solenoid pack problem. these vans with transmission problems can get costly, having it checked now would be wise. if you had a scan tool to get all ****** switches and solenoid value readings i would be able to help you check it but a ****** shop can check it with in an hour. good day.

Keeps misfireing went to grage and the code comes up as 201 but they dont know what that means can you help

First I would leave any repair shop that obviously
has very little knowledge of OBD Vehicle Systems,
that have been around over 30 years

If you got a misfire you would have a PO301 for cylinder #1
You gave us a PO201, that appears to be a Fuel Injector
issue on cylinder # 1
Injectors don't fail often,so don't get taken down the wrong
path there

Find a shop that can actually diagnose a vehicle
