All possible damage to your car aside, you could potentially fill the car with exhaust gas. Best case you'll get woozy or a headache. Worst case you could pass out while driving. It is not a good idea.

There is a oil leaking in my benz model 94 c280 and smoke always comes under the hood after driving few miles

Could be your valve cover is leaking onto the exhaust manifold, try tighten the valve cover screws a bit and wipe oil off of everything and after awhile check for leaks,if that doesn't work, then you may need to replace your valve cover gaskets.

It's dumping gas into the manifold and detonation in exhaust manifold during exhaust firing cycle

Hi Mark:
My train of thought is along the line that for unburned fuel to get into the exhaust manifold, it still has to go through a cylinder so there is either no spark to light it up, or it's so rich that it's not burning. Have you had a chance to check the plug tips for indicators as to what's happening in the combustion chamber?

Had exhaust manifold replaced since then my 2001 caravan bucks and blows black smoke little to no power

if you replaced the manifold because it was cracked the look for a plugged cat convertor..the cracked manifold was probably letting the exhaust escape..now it builds too much back pressure

Hi my estima is making a ticking noise when driving especially when slowing down or at stand still also the exhaust is rattling.i had a new one put on eleven mths ago.im going get checked but wondering...

I would suggest getting the areas between the cylinder head and the exhaust manifold checked for leaks. Your description sounds like a classic beginnings of an exhaust manifold gasket leak.

My 2006 Kia Optima is making a clicking sound. It has been doing this for over 6k miles now, so I don't think it's that bad. I drive fast and hard, but has not gotten worse. Help??????

I assume we are talking about a motor noise. A lot of people assume a clicking sound is a valve noise. Most of the time a loud clicking noise is actually a bad exhaust gasket. An air leak on an automotive exhaust manifold sounds like a loud tick or click. Try changing the gaskets on both sides of the exhaust manifold . This should take care of the clicking.

Low pressure exhaust sensor faulty on passat 57

If you have low pressure in the exhaust manifold, then there would an exhuast leak somewhere from the exhaust manifold to the tail pipe. These leaks tend to get bigger over driving time. It may be the exhaust manifold gasket, or a crack in the manifold. Give a good listen for a sputtering sound. Part of the exhaust pipes have to be removed for access to the manifold. A good spray of PB breaker will help a lot with the bolts here.
Escaping gas is bad for the environment. This also causes gas to enter the manifold and make its way to the valves. The temperature of the incoming air is very cold compared to the combustion chamber and can cause damage the your valves by stressing them.
If you find no leak, then you may consider the sensor may be faulty or the leak is very small.
Good Luck.

Oil consumption in 2005 acura rl. the car has 100,000miles and we have been told 1 quart every 1,000 miles is normal.

A quart /1000 miles is on the high side for that mileage- something abnormal is causing it.
1) Ensure any motor oil leaks are fixed to ensure they are not contributing to the oil loss.
2) Observe if any blue smoke from exhaust on downhill coast/deceleration - if present it indicates worn valve stem oil seals (these can be replaced relatively cheaply).
3) If blue smoke from exhaust on acceleration the piston rings may be worn- (costly repair).

One of the common problem with 98 Frontier is crack exhaust manifold, take the heat shield off the exhaust manifold and check it for crack.
