Most have the code on the back of the radio, or written in the owners manual. If not, dealer may be the only way. They require proof of ownership. Is that your issue?
You need to get the radio code from a Chevy dealer based off your VIN number and then input the proper code when prompted. The exact process is usually a little different for each vehicle. You may get charged to get your code but you should be able to search the actual process on the internet, in most cases free of charge.
Try 0000 or 1234. If you can no longer input the codes, disconnect the battery again and that will reset the radio for you to enter the radio codes again. If that was not your default code, call the dealer and hope they can give it to you without charging you a crazy amount. Or log on to radio-code.com. There is a small fee, but better then the dealers fee if they are going to charge you. Keep me posted and let me know if your got your radio working again friend. Good luck.
Turn the radio off and disconnect the battery. This will reset the radio and cd player, NOTE:' MAKE SURE THE RADIO IS OFF OR YOUR GOING TO BE PROMPT TO ENTER A CODE TO REACTIVATE THE RADIO. Good luck and keep me posted.
