SOURCE: 2002 ford taurus shakes

You need to have the front end inspected for damaged steering components. Check your Tie Rod ends, A frame bushings and ball joints to make sure there isn't excessive wear or lose connections. If all of that is in good working order Drive down the road with a friend in the next lane over and have them look to see if either wheel in bouncing. If either wheel is bouncing you need to replace the struts. they are replaced in pairs, both sides. The front end will need to be aligned after you do this.

SOURCE: illustrations on how to fit front brake pads to 1999 ford mondeo

Just observe how you take the old ones off. Pads can only snap in one way. It may take some effort but clean the caliper of rust you shouldn't have any problem. Remember to crack open your brake fluid reservoir before compressing the caliper!

SOURCE: how to replace rear brake pads

Jack up car, remove wheel. There are two bolts that hold the caliper on. Remove these. Caliper comes off, take old pads out. There is a special tool to compress the piston back into the caliper (do not use a C Clamp on the rears.) Put new pads back on, re-install the caliper, and put the wheel back on. Pump the brake pedal until it is firm. Done.

SOURCE: applying brakes on 1997 ford F150 causes vehicle to bounce.

Brother-in-law had new rear brakes and drums put on his 150 for the same reason, here they were puting them on wrong, they were puting the washer for the e brake lever on the outside instead of in between, and the were'nt releasing, So use the e brake to stop, if it vibrates with the e brake you eliminated you hydralics.

2004 ford taurus violently shakes in drive when break is applied (like at lights), not in park or reverse.

check for vacuum leak at the brake booster with brakes applied . Put on the hand brake and take the foot off the brake to check this . Run fault codes to find any faulty sensors.

My 2004 cadillac deville is shaking in a low idle why is that

Does it occur when you apply the brakes? A warped rotor will cause a shake or shutter (primarily felt in the steering wheel and brake pedal) when the brake are applied. Most shops no longer resurface brake rotors any longer because of the reduced prices for a new replacement rotor, but resurfacing a rotor will bring the rotor true (even no wobble) and take away any brake shimmy or shaking.

Hello my steering wheel shakes braking from 60km/h

If I understand your question, it appears to be shaking only while braking and no other time. If this is correct, then you have warped brake rotors and/or rotors that are improperly torqued (which may result in warping). If the rotors are not either worn or warped excessively, they MIGHT be brought back into spec by turning them on a brake lathe, otherwise you will have to replace them.

sounds like the front rotors are warped, sometimes they can be machined as long as they are within the minium thickness. I hope this helps, good luck

2005 ford escape awd shutters very badly upon take off up to about 30 miles per hour then gets progressively better. Is the center drive shaft bearing bad and is it repairable . Ford says the driveshaft...

Have a 2005 ford escape XLT 4WD and when I get between 45-60km per hour the vehicle shakes like I'm driving on a washboard. Took it to Ford - they told me I need a new drive shaft - $1200 with taxes and labour. I already replaced the alternator in 2007 - that was over $800 because of where it is positioned. Takes hours and hours to get at it because it is buried under the motor. I think Ford needs to give us all a discount. Sounds like these are common problems with the Ford Escape.

Shake and shimmey

From what you say you are experiencing, the bush wear should be quite noticeable on inspection.
Possibly too.... the problem may also be the brake discs, giving you a judder ?
Good Luck !
