If you changed the vs with a aftermarket part and your problem started. I would return it and buy a factory sensor. That should fix your problem

SOURCE: Honda Accord EX 94 vss has been replaced, but still nothing work

If all the connection and power supplies to instrument cluster are ok,I suspect that the speedometer or instrument cluster is faulty but before you replace it, make sure the gear inside the transmission that drives the VSS is in good.

i think this is a common issue with Honda and the accord models. unless you are getting any engine warning or seeing problems or losing power I would not worry and ask Honda to reset processor at next service.

94 Accord Ex 2.2l Vtec will not engage passing gear

Sounds like it could be a problem something to do with the clutch perhaps? If the clutch or other components of the tranny are malfunctioning then it could very well be the source of quite a few elusive problems, and unfortunately the transmission on Honda's are known for hard-shifting, so i would have the transmission diagnosed just to see if everything checks out A-OK. Let me know how it goes!

1993 honda accord lx flashing d light???

Usually the VSS - You can check the code by jumping the "test wire/plug" located behind the pass side plastic kick panel on the lower right. It has a blue tip, place a small wire or a paper clip in the terminals to make a connection. Turn your key forward two clicks to the ACC (not start). Count how many times your "D" light flashes. If it flashes 4 times, you need the VSS changed.

Go to eBay and type: 93 Accord VSS

It's cheap there, Autozone charges over $100.

If it's not that then consider a malfunction in your TCU (Transmission Control Unit) located under the pass side floor carpet by where they put their feet. It's the smaller of the 2 control units. Sometimes there are 2 capacitors that burn out in there. You'd need a Phillips screwdriver to take the TCU apart to look at the circuit board, etc.

If it's not that then consider changing your trans fluid, wiping the magnet tip drain bolt clean and cleaning your shift solenoids. You'll need about 2.5 quarts and it must say Import or Honda Approved on the ATF container. HONDA DOES NOT RECOMMEND GETTING A TRANSMISSION FLUSH. Good luck...

Where is the starter relay on a 94 Honda Accord

Yes, it sounds like your solenoid is bad and staying engaged against the flywheel, you could do an amperage draw and a voltage drop test to find out for sure, but you will need an DVOM and a amp clamp. Or you could take it into an auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps.

Shifting problem

This sounds like a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) not being read correctly by the computer, or the VSS is inaccurate, erratic, etc. The erratic speedo seems to verify my theory doesn't it???

Vehicle Speed Sensor replacement

Hi...
The SPEED Sensor on your Honda accord 94.
is located on the Transmission.
About Under the Thermostat housing ( if you follow the lower radiator hose from radiator to engine) you will found the thermostat housing.
Under the thermostat housing you will see on the trans, the sensor is the only one on this side of the trans,

I hope this help on your problem.
Thank you for use fixya...

Flashing green s on the dash

A green flashing "S" is similar to a check engine light. It is telling you that something in or on your transmission is not functioning correctly, such as the speed sensor or shift control solenoids. If it starts flashing and the speedometer stops working or the transmission shifts weird, take it to a mechanic.
