Question about Jeep CJ5
1977 Jeep CJ5; Fuel issue. Can't get it pumped to the engine, pump seems to be working, looking at getting electric fuel pump...wondering if that will take care of issue.
You can attach a siphon to the fuel line from the pump back to the tank and use it to detect any leaks in the line. You can also check the carb the same way, running it on fuel from siphon. If both check out OK, you can use an electric pump or replace the mechanical pump. Either should work providing that the "sock" inside the tank is not obstructed.
