Alright, This isn't a mechanical problem, but more of an inconvenience really, nothing that will hinder my car's performance.
But, anyway, my problem is dealing with the radio. The radio has the 6 CD changer and stock Bose speakers option(in case this has something to do with my problem).
The radio itself works fine, BUT i can only get a limited number of stations. I can't manually tune my radio for specific stations in my area, even though the seek should pick them up, because they have crystal clear reception, and it's quite annoying.
do i need to recode my radio to pick up these other stations? or is there another button i need to press before doing a manual tuning? or is there something else i need to do?
If nothing else works, im probably going to end up buying a in-dash stereo kit.
If someone else has or has had this problem, let me know on how i would go about fixing it.
Thanks!
YOU MAY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ANTENNA. THERE ARE 4 ANTENNAS IN THE REAR WINDOW FOR BOTH AM AND FM SIGNALS. THERE IS AND UNIT CALLED A DIVERSITY BOX UNDER THE REAR HAT SHELF THE CONNECTS THEM ALL AND DECIDES WHAT ANTENNA IS GETTING THE BEST SIGNAL. THAT UNIT MAY BE FAULTY. BEST TO HAVE IT CHECKED BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE SYSTEM OR TAKE IT TO A DEALER. MIGHT BE CHEAPER THAN BUYING A NEW AFTERMARKET RADIO.
