The part u are referring to is the temperature control blend door actuator motor, it is about center of air ducting, in order to access the part u must remove the entire dash assembly, not a job for a DIYer, 12-15 hour job.

Ac temp blend door actuator where is it located on car.

Normally the actuator is inside by the floor in the center of the dash. It is a small motor with an arm that directs the door to the heater or the air. Hope this helps.

Heater doesn't get hot on 96 chevy truck. Blows good, just cold. Replaced thermostat, flushed radiator. Any ideas?

Air Temperature Control Blend Door Failure No Heat or no AC (dependes on where door sticks)

In all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire dash from the car. Always have this problem confirmed by a dealer or qualified repair shop as it is a very expensive repair.

Other causes of no heat in the cabin are engine thermostats that are stuck open (engine runs cold) or air bubbles in the cooling system.

The blend door is under the dashboard where the air ducts are located for your AC.

When I turn on the heater cold air comes out the vent

there is a part inside the dash that controls the outlet air temperature by moving back and forth between the heater core and the AC evaporator core, it is called the Blend door, the door is moved by a small electric gear drive that is called the blend door actuator motor, very likely this motor has failed or the bend door is stuck due to warping (it is a light weight plastic), the bad news here is that the entire dash assembly must be removed to replace these parts, I am a Ford dealer tech so I have seen this problem dozens of times.

I have 1998 cadillac STS and the heater blows cold air only

this problem is caused by a defective air temp control blend door motor, this door and actuator motor is located inside the dash between the heater core and the AC evaporator core, it shifts airflow through the heater core or the AC core or mixes or blends the two for the desired temp at the outlets, the motor will have to be replaced. This is a very common issue.

A/c is working but does not come out the vents cold. have been told it is my "blend door actuator". If so, where is it located, what is the part number, do you sell it, is there something that...

The bleed door actuator is located behind the dash in the AC/Heating ducts above or near the heater core box, it mixes heated and cooled air to give the desired outlet temp. You will have to remove the dash to replace the acuator. This is a dealer only part.

You will need to replace the air temp control blend door actuator motor, it is located behind the dash near the heater core and AC evaporator core inside the air ducting system, the dash must be removed in most cars to replace this part or service the blend door which may be warped and jammed.

The heater and a/c blend door actuator motor is located behind the center of the dash just below the windshield. The steering column must be detached and lowered and the dash must be removed to access the blend door motor.
