Question about 1992 Dodge Power Ram 50
Backed out of garage and engine quit. Would not start. Fuel solenoid would click but no hum of the fuel pump. Replaced fuel pump and now the engine will not crank and still no hum in the fuel tank. Haven't done a thing under the hood.

Find your firewall electrical junction block (where all the wires enter the cabin on the passenger side) and with a zip tie pull up the wire bundle so it does not ride on the upper tie rods and, fasten the zip tie to anything that is solid in the engine compartment and, let me know what happens

There is not fuse for pump but a relay in the relay block. I do suggest jumping to see if pump turns on. Test voltage from ECM if needed. If voltage is to pump, then pump is shot. If not voltage, relay may be bad

Sounds like the fuel pump is going out. Its inside the tank. But first see if the fuel pump is clooged. take it off and see if its plugged. Check fuel pressure if you can. should be 45-55 psi

It is a black box on the driver side mounted to the fender.. Black box.. what is your pickup doing? I would pull teh computer an take it in to a Dodge Dealer ship to have them Test it! and check at your local junk yard for the computer. good luck hope you figure it out!
