SOURCE: Blower motor on 96 Isuzu Rodeo does not blow on

if fuses are good, check for power at blower motor, when truck is running and a/c on. the resistor and the switch provide ground, so the blue/white wire should have power, and the blue/black wire should have NO power, if it does have power, then most likely the resistor is bad. if it has no power and the motor doesnt run, the motor is bad.

SOURCE: My blower fan dosen't work even after checking all

It sounds like the fan control switch is faulty or that the connector on the rear of the switch is not making proper contact. It may also be the blower resistor but when any of the the resistors fail, you usually can still get high speed to operate. T o access the switch you will have to remove part of the dash front panel so that you can get to the rear of the switch to check the connector and remove / replace switch which is usually a snap in setup..
You could also check the resistor block for proper connection. The Blower Fan Resistor Block is usually located in the air ducting adjacent to the Blower Fan. The Resistor Block consists of 3 or 4 coils of special resistance wire attached to terminals which connect to the wiring that comes from the fan switch and then to the Blower Fan. The block is on the output side of the fan unit so that the airflow from the fan past the coils inside the duct assists in preventing them from overheating and burning out.
As you already have replaced the fan motor you will know where to look for the resistor block. To replace, remove the multi-pin connector and then undo the screws holding in the block. Check air duct for leaves and dirt which may have caused the coils to fail. Replacement is the reverse procedure

Fan is not running

First check the fuse in the fuse box .
It also depends on witch fan /engine cooling fan /Blower motor fan.
Engine fans will have a relay more so then a blower motor .
The differences is this the blower draws more power and runs on a different ckt then the engine controls .So you can use the blower motor with out the engine running key on .
You don't say witch one you are having the problem with so I will try to explain both .
Most of the time both have relays and fuse's .The heater fan works on HI only off the relay so the relay is good if it works on HI.
The relay for the fan to cool the engine is different it controls all speeds do to temp change its cold some times has to handle more information .The relay the one thing they both have in common is the connections tend to get corroided Most of the time you can unplug and clean the plug in connectors to fix the issue

If the 30amp blower fuse has power, and you can run power to the blower motor and it runs, I would say its the blower relay or the control switch on the dash. The control switch provides power to turn the blower relay on. The fan switch provides the ground circuit.

Heater fan not working

Smack it and see if it comes on. If it does then the motor brushes are bad. If it does not come on, check the fuses. If the fuses are ok, check the voltage on the plug to the motor.

Where is the blower motor relay on the 1994 Ford Econoline. The fan is going one speed - SLOW. I replaced the blower motor, because it was squealing, but that never solved the problem. I'm thinking it's...

On your vehicle, if it works on low speed, that eliminates the fuse, the blower motor relay and the blower motor resistor. All of the parts of the resistor must bee good for it to work on low. The relay supplies power to the motor and the controls provide the ground, so if the motor runs at all, it is not the relay or the fuse. The only thing left is the switch. Fords are bad about burning the wire connector that conects to the switch. You will most likely have to replace the switch and the connector. Both of these parts are widely avaiable at most aftermarket parts stores.

The heater fan is not working. Is it a fuse?

fuses are the easy thing to check just pull one and look at it if you see a burned spot replace it, checking relays and blower motor resesters and blower motors are harder if you dont know how to do it. there best left to a shop to check.

Blower working on top 2 settings but no air comeing from vents

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The possible causes due to which the blower is not working normally are fuse, blower resistor or a bad blower motor. Test the voltage at the blower with a test light. Please check the motor relay switch fuse under the dashboard. Use a multi meter to measure ohms for continuity. If these are fine, bypass the blower motor relay switch to make sure blower motor is running fine. Motor relay switch is right next to radiator fan relay switch under the hood. Pull out the blower motor relay switch to see 4 female pin holes. Test the relay switch using a 12 volts power source and a multi meter to measure continuity. If fan works after jumping the pin holes, then blower motor is fine but relay switch may be faulty. You may also need to replace the blower motor resistor. If still the problem persists, then you need to replace the blower motor.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee
