Perform a self test on heater control head if it's electronic,... push floor and off button at the same time with key on, release, then press the auto button one time. This puts control head into self test. If you hear a clicking noise from your glove box area, probably a bad temperature blend door, also it will show a code on control head screen.post code here or Google it. Hope that helps. . SOURCE: Why does my 2001 Mercury Sable climate control only blow heat?

It could be the door that should be shuting off the heater core area is not shuting. The door works with engine vaccuum. The vac. comes from the intake manifold. With your car being a few years old, the heat from the engine may have caused the vac. hose to dry out and crack or become disconnected. With the engine cold and off, look under the hood. A small size vaccuum hose should be connected to the intake manifold and run inside the cabin area. This is one thing you can check. I hope this helps you.

look like the program is not working. if the set temp, is lower than the real temp, heather should come on.
if the set temp is higher than the ambient temp. the ACC should come on.
I will try one first, then setup the other.

Hyundai xg350 ac issues it does not get very cold

You say you had it checked, did the shop say everything was fine ?
Usually the climate control will not go below 60 degrees. You check the performance by using a thermometer in the vent. Inside air temp coming out the vent should be at least 20 degrees less than outside air temp.

My AC works but heater blows cold on my 99 Plymouth voyager

I used to install AC in those, so I might be able to help. It is either the temp adjustment linkage, or it is the accessory selector. When you go from AC to heater does the air move from the vents to blowing on the floor? If so then it is possible that the linkage to the temp controller has probably slipped off one of the levers that controls the incoming air, from cold to hot. It is an easy fix. It would have to be that, because if you couldn't switch from AC to heat, you can always make the AC hot with the temp control lever.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

does this truck have dual climate or electric thermometer in the heat/ac control panel. if so the elec. therm. may be stuck and not allowing the temp to drop but so low in the truck therefore you get cold air but no heat because the therm. says it is already hot in the truck. hope this helps.

Ac controls for eletronic control

could be a problem with the blend door. common on explorers. open glove box all the way down (bend in tabs to where it will open further than normal) . take flashlight and look behind it to top of black box inside dash. should be able to see tab for door moving while changing the temp. on the control unit. if it is broken should be able to hear cracking or popping from inside heater case.

2004 Chevy Silverado AC is blowing warm air on passenger side.

You have dual zones that are controlled by temperature actuators the passenger side has lost its memory or has gone bad you can put it in self programming by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then hook it back up start the truck turn the temperature control on but do not touch any other controls let it go thru the self programming for about 6 to 7 minutes then select your temperature you want if it still does not work properly you may have a bad actuator or a bad connection at the actuator
