How transmission fluid does a toyota corolla fielder take

look in your owners manual under fluid capacities. The torque converted holds some too, which you can't drain. Try to get close to full, then slowly add fluid until it comes up to the mark on the dipstick. Don't start the vehicle to check until it is close to full.

2003 rendezvous transmission fluid change how much fluid do i need?

  • A full transmission fluid change, like as in a flush, requires 9.5 quarts of DEXIII/M transmission fluid.
  • If you are going to be dropping the pan at home to swap the filter and gasket you will not loos near full capacity of transmission fluid. For this you may loose 3 quarts (give or take a bit). 4 Quarts on hand would be plenty for this case.
  • Don't forget to (with you foot on the brake) run the transmission through the every gear for a few seconds to fill the pockets before you check the level. if you do drop the pan.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

How many quarts of transmission fluid needed for 2000 Chev blazer 4.3L when dry

according to the chart 11 pts. where 2 pts. = 1 quart, so it's like 5 quarts and a half. But, all capacities are approximate, it says, so check on level ground, warmed up, for full level of transmission fluid.

2001 mercury sable, when driven for extended time transmission fluid comes up out the dip stick area. what causes that

If the transmission is over full this will happen, if the transmission overheats this will happen, check the level carefully by the instructions on the dipstick to ensure that it is filled properly. There is also a vent on the top of the transmission, a favorite home place for dirt wasps, make sure it is clean. If you think this problem is over heating, check the oil cooler for obstructions pinched lines etc., I put an external oil cooler on my transmission to provide more cooling capacity, though it is not truely neccessary. Hope this helps, let me know.

What is the full capacity for transmission fluid fora 5.7L 2005 chrysler 300

TRANSMISSION FILL
To avoid overfilling transmission after a fluid change or overhaul, perform the following procedure:
  1. Verify that the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  2. Remove the dipstick tube cap.
  3. Add following initial quantity of Mopar ATF +4, Automatic Transmission Fluid, to the transmission:
    1. If only fluid and filter were changed, add 5.0 L (10.6 pts.) of transmission fluid to transmission.
    2. If the transmission was completely overhauled or the torque converter was replaced or drained, add 7.7 L (16.3 pts.) of transmission fluid to transmission.
  1. Check the transmission fluid and adjust as required

Transmission capacity

Most transmissions take about 5 quarts. Check with auto parts store to get correct type. They should be able to tell you how many quarts your car requires. Add about 3 to 4 quarts Depending on size of transmission, start engine check fluid level while engine is running (should let it warm up) Add fluid as needed to fill to full line. Do not overfill!!!
