Question about 1995 Dodge Dakota

Wont idel when warmed up

I have a 1995 dakota v6 with fule injection. the engin runs great cold and going down the road. but when it fully warmed up( right at the half way point on the temp needle)it starts to rum bad and will stall out when put in drive or rev. but in nutral it seams to run ok hot. i dont know if thats just a coinsadence or not. i replaced the o2 sencor, egr valve and selinode, the computer, distubeter cap, rotor, pick up coil, plugs, wires, idel air motor, fule injectors, battery conectors, had the altanator checked. still does the same thing. i looked for mesages on the computer with the engin check light. but nothing comes up as wrong. also cleaned the trothel body wit carb cleaner. nothing helps. it is like fliping a light switch when it gets warmed up. runs great till it gets to the warmed up spot on the temp gage then starts ideling real bad. hope you can help. running out of money here. thank you

if i leave it ideling when i first start it. its fine in any gear. if i leave it in park, as soon as it hits full warm up its like fliping on a light switch. it just starts shaking and ideling ruff and trys to die out (without even moving the shift leaver) thanks.

Seems to me there may be a problem with the transmission, because you say it runs fine in neutral and dies when you put it in gear!!!
only logical thing if everything else you mentioned has been ruled out!!!

does it have plenty of fuel in the tank???

sorry i didn' notice you hadn't replaced the fuel pump!!

still when the tranny warms up, if something in the front pump or the valve control is bad it could cause it to stall!!!

if you suspect the fuel pump check the pressure while it is running and see where it is after the vehicle is warm!!!

Engine wont start when cold but after starting with starting fluid runs fine

The heat might have melted or damaged your main relay. Does it turn over or try to start, or does the lights simply come on and it does nothing?

Will not stay running, once it gets warm runs like a dream .have changed several sensors and has made no change..fule pump filter tpr idel sensor and so on once you get the motor warm she runs fine ,,

The vehicle runs in what is called 'open loop' system when it is cold. The open loop system is a predefined set of parameters (including fuel/air mixture) embedded into the ECM to run the vehicle until the vehicle warms up and goes into closed loop system. Then the ECM works off the sensors.

You could have a failing ECM
