I have this car and this is not a trivial question. The same low port refill kit that works fine on a Ford Explorer and 97 Mitsubishi does not work on this car. Ask an auto parts place for the right refill kit.

You need to locate the low port on the AC.

You recharge the AC connecting to the low port.

You find the AC low pressure at the top of the compressor. Near the compressor you find two ports, the high port and low port.
You can follow the compressor line to reach the port.

To find out which one is the low port, run the air conditioner for a couple of minutes withthe engine on.
Then turn off the care and touch the lines from compressor to the two ports , often covered with plastic caps. Only one of the pipes will be cold, the line that is cold will lead you to the low port.

You never add coolant to the ac system.
you add freon to the ac system
on that car it is a 134a system and you will have to go get the refill kit not the conversion kit.from an auto parts house.
it will have a fill hose with gauge and freon.
take off the blue cap on the ac hose and hookup the adaptor fill hose.it has a collar that you have to hold up wil you push the fitting on then let the collar go with pressure still on the connection to lock it on.fill the system untill it begins to cool and or the compressor stops cycling on and off.then stop filling and remove the fill hose by pulling up on the collar and it will just pop off dont get scard cause it will just pop off a little bit and thats it.you should be ok with this and the cost should be under 35 dollars.

hope this helps
thank you
jm

How can i refill the air conditioning in my 2001 hyundai sonata

You can buy a recharge kit at your local parts store. The kit comes with a pressure gauge to let you know when the coolant level is good, over charged, or low. The kit cost about $25. With the kit hook up, it can't be hooked up wrong with the high and low pressure ends. You will be able to use this over and over, just buy new cans when you need to refill.

What kind of anti-freeze goes into a 2001 Hyundia Elantra and a Hyundia 2005 Santa fe

i trust you are talking about the radiator(ive had people refering to their a/c system recharge as installing the anti freeze). this takes a standard good quality anti freeze/coolant mixed with distilled water.

Heater quit working 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Checked

If the heater is blowing cold air, it could be your thermostat. They cost $20-50 at an auto parts store. Also, after the car has been ran for awhile does it come up and stay at normal operating temperature? Is your coolant level normal? If the car is high in mileage and the cooling system has never beeen flushed, it may just need flushed.

Can you advice me how do I refill engine coolant in 2001 hyundai elantra? Also, when I turn A/C on it blows hot air, I bought this interdynamic EZ fill, the guage shows filled...what should I do?

look on bottom of radiator on the drives side of the car. Using a large philips screw driver turn srcrew counter clockwise until coolant begins to drain. afterwards. close screw and refill 50/50 water to antifreeze.

Maintenance schedule

If the water pump is driven by the timing belt replace it and anything else that is driven by the timing belt(idlers and tensioner) , Also replace the camshaft and crankshaft oil seals while your there.
Never hurts to flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant/anti-freeze.
Hope this helps
