It sounds to me like there is a vacuum leak especially if it increases when you press on the gas

Hissing noise likely is a failed vacuum "motor' that controls the blend door. You can locate it by putting a length of hose in your ear and using the other end as a directional probe. Follow the sound and you will find it...Reaching it to replace is another story...may need a manual to remove.

My 98 stratus wont blow cold air (a/c) and it has freon and the compressor is coming on, how can i tell if there is a blockage with exspanion valve or anywhere else for that matter, also when it blows it...

you could have a blockage at the dryer also. have you the ability to put a manafold guage on it to see if the low side pressure is too high which would indicate a blockage somewhere. you should be seeing a number around 30 on the low side with the compressor running. as far as the controls they are vacuum controlled so you may have a vacuum leak making it change. you still should have cold air if ac is on and temp is set for coldest and recirculate is on. hope this helps and good luck

1998 Olds Aurora, no heat, no air, just blowing air out the front

i beleive these are a vacuum system. if air temp is in cold position you will get no heat. listen for hissing noise with motor turned off but key on. if you hear hissing noise you have a hose broken or off. you will have to find it
