How to install the trunk lid torsion bars on a 2007 Saturn Ion?

The procedure is the same on every vehicle that uses this type of opening assist. So here is another persons instructions on a GM product.
Tools used:
Leather gloves!!
3/4" combo wrench (biggest I had)
1/2" deep socket (3/8")
6" extension (3/8")

1.With the trunk lid up and the curved part of the torsion bar against the rear trunk wall, I slipped the box end of the combo wrench around the torsion bar. I don't remember which way I had the angle of the box end facing. Just use what will work.

2.Then use the extension and the socket on the end of the torsion bar and push back so that you can get the combo wrench down past the curve, this is key. Once that is done you can remove the socket and extension. Pressure will push the wrench against the rear trunk wall.

3.Now comes the fun part. Push the wrench forward (VERY CAREFULLY) all the way past the side engine grill support and onto the peg of the hinge. The tip of my torsion bar just nicked the grill support. Make sure the wrench is seated well because it could slip around on you and cause your paint some damage and maybe even you.

4.Now that the torsion bar is on the hinge peg, you'll notice that your left with a wrench stuck on the bar... Just move (wiggle, twist) the wrench as far to the end of the torsion bar as it will go.

5.Take the extension, without the socket and place over the tip of the torsion bar. Push down while you slip the wrench past the peg. Remove the extension and slip off the wrench.

6.Now use the extension again to push down and put the roller (plastic, metal) bearing onto the peg.

7.Secure all the bolts, and lube it up.

That's it. Hope it'll help someone else. Please be careful.

Wrench light

Blinking is not good

Stop using it before you hurt the engine

Have a repair shop check for codes, diagnose & resolve

When a check light blinks, sometimes it is an indication of
a cylinder misfire so severe, it could damge the exhaust
converter, & may even go into fail safe, to protect it & you
won't be able to drive it

Just one possible reason for the light blinking

Each manufacturer has different strategies

97 accord, trying to replace the rotors... got the 4 bolts off and the axle nut but cant free the plate in front of the rotor. Might be a rust issue.

The two mounting bolts are installed with Lock tight sealer. Use a 6 pointed boxed end wrench and a hammer on the two bolts. Hit the wrench hard to loosen these bolts up. An impact wrench is much easier to use

What size is the rear brake bleeder valve ( i think i am using the wrong wrench)

most of them are 5/16.. if it goes on tight and slips under torque, corners are rounded use a 6 point wrench or socket.. most cheap ( and not so cheap) 12 point wrenches will strip the edges, they wont grab far enough down.

Belt for 98 ford windstar

Purchase a serpentine belt wrench. They are a long flat looking wrench from a local auto store. There is a belt tensioner in the rear of the engine. Place the wrench on the tensioner pulley, and pull the wrench toward the front of the engine. This will loosen the belt. Install the belt around the crankshaft, and all other pulleys, excluding the alternator pulley. Hold the last bit of the belt in your hand, and then pull the tensioner toward the front of the engine again, and slip the belt onto the alternator pulley.
